MarcusApr 26, 2024In Germany you could sue such a nudist because of rape. Psychological rape so to say.

Stone AndyApr 26, 2024I take the side of the woman delivery driver. It's disrespectful to force unexpected behavior on others, in him telling her he WILL be answering the door nude. It's a completely different matter if he had politely asked her if that was acceptable, and for him to put on a robe if it wasn't.

Nudists have to have respect for other people's feelings if they expect other people to have respect for theirs. It's as simple as that.ReactReply - MEMemberApr 26, 2024
This article was posted in the news section of my site recently. This is a perfect example of how those who dont include being respectful of others in their "expression" of nudism increase the negative perspective of the non sexual clothes free way of life. On Reddit someone recently posted they would do this kind of behavior just to get a reaction. That isnt nudism it is exhibitionism. Doing more harm than good. Can you fault this DoorDashperson for thinking that nudists are a bunch of pervs and thinking of us negatively since she was harmed because she didnt want to be forcibly exposed to a naked person. DoorDash driver penalized for refusing delivery to nudist customer who planned on exposing himself** By Andrew Court, April 23, 2024 He wanted food in the nude. A female DoorDash driver claims she was penalized by the food delivery company for refusing to drop off an order to a male nudist. The woman, who posts under the username @acrispygal99, took to Reddit to rage over the incident, which she said occurred this past weekend. I got an offer to drive a little over 8 miles for $10.50, the driver explained, without disclosing her location. I normally wouldnt accept this offer but it was towards the end of my dash and it would bring me closer to home than I currently was so I decided to go for it. When I got to the restaurant, the food wasnt ready yet, so I took a seat and started scrolling through Twitter, she continued. I got a message from the customer saying, Just to let you know, I am a nudist and WILL be answering the door nude. I responded with, Okay, I will be canceling then and went out to my car to call support. The woman was left stunned, however, when an employee on the DoorDash support line purportedly told her that she would not be able to cancel the order without it affecting her completion rate. https://nypost.com/2024/04/23/lifestyle/doordash-driver-penalized-for-refusing-delivery-to-nudist-customer-who-planned-on-exposing-himself
I agree with the comments and sentiments here. But I will also play devils advocate - this is of course one side of the story only. Did the customer actually state that and in the words the driver conveyed in Reddit? On most accounts the truth lays somewhere close but those who are enraged are prone to embellish. So did he in fact 'ask' if this was okay; or was his intent that - sometimes words are poorly chosen but the senders intent was clearly different to how the message was received. I say lets hear from the customer, I say if they are on here now's your chance to tell your side.ReactReply

EarlDOriginal PosterApr 26, 2024I heard everything I need to hear from the customer in his message to the delivery person. Cannot advocate for that kind of behavior but this is the world we live in now. I should get to do anything I want when I want without any care about the impact on anyone else. Bill BowserApr 27, 2024I too, will play devils advocate, but first Ill offer the observation that this is a pretty sad commentary on life in the 21st century.
Nudity is nothing more than an unorthodox wardrobe choice. Why should anyone refuse to make a delivery to someone whose attire is deemed unsuitable? Of course this guy acted like a douchebag, so I can sympathize with the female Door Dasher. And I dont think it was appropriate that she was penalized. She didnt want to go into what she perceived as a threatening situation. That should have been respected.

StevieLornaApr 27, 2024I am a nudist/naturist., have been for for a long time.
So far this week Ive opened the door for Mail, for Amazon deliveries, to two young men from the WWF asking for donations and to some kids selling candy to support their youth club football team.
Non of these people have seen my dick.
Do you know why?
Its because Im a nudist, not a fucking pervert.
There is no devils advocate here, there are just sad pricks getting a thrill.

EarlDOriginal PosterApr 27, 2024You are correct IMO. But there are some who use the labels nudist or naturist as cover for their own purposes who really do not care what the impact of their actions are others as long as they can "express" themselves. Andy its not disrespectful, its sexual harassment.
Your point is well-taken. I question if that would fit the legal definition of sexual harassment given that a doorway is a liminal space between a private space and social interaction, especially if you were to change genders to different scenarios. But that's something for lawyers to figure out. Sexual harassment: behavior characterized by the making of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances in a workplace or other professional or social situation.ReactReply - MEMemberApr 27, 2024
I heard everything I need to hear from the customer in his message to the delivery person. But let's face it you're taking the position of (because it's on Reddit) if it's on social media then it must be true. Like many other comments here I also am careful and respectful about being a nudist. But also know I live in a world where non-nudists take many liberties to vilify, ridicule and ostracize nudists. I come back to let's hear both sides of the story, and still not suggesting we may even hear a view from the other side that's anywhere near acceptable or even explainable. AnthonyApr 28, 2024Probably an unpopular opinion, but I don't think it is ever appropriate to open the door to any delivery driver or other casual caller in the nude - unless there is a prior understanding that this is okay. While we naturists may see nothing wrong with nudity, there are those who do, and, IMO they should not be involuntarily exposed to it in the course of their work - particularly when the worker concerned is (of might be) a woman, who may find such behaviour threatening. How do you know what her prior experience of naked men may have been? I've been slow opening the door to one delivery guy, and it must have been obvious this was because I was pulling on some shorts, because he said 'No need to bother on my account' - but not everyone feels that way, and it is not unreasonable to respect that. After all, does it really damage your naturist credentials or cause you distress to have to cover up for 2 or 3 minutes?

AnthonyApr 28, 2024It's a different matter if you have invited someone to visit socially and wish to remain naked - they are under no obligation to visit, so 'my house, my rules' and if they don't like it they can stay away. But when it is part of someone's job and they have no real choice in whether or not to come to your house, then what's wrong with simply saying 'BTW I'm a naturist - are you okay with that or would your rather I put some clothes on while you're here'?

So a 'cut and paste' from Reddit to your news website legitimises the content?
My comments are wholly directed at what the Doordash driver claims, which was only ever posted on Reddit. The fact some journo picked it up from there doesn't validate it...probably makes this situation even worse now because we don't know what poetic licence was taken by the cut and paste journo!
As stated already I'm not disagreeing with the thoughts, concerns, sentiments and viewpoints of fellow nudies on here. My own behaviour is aligned with them. The principle issues remain in these situations:
Innocent till proven guilty
Two sides to a story always
The 'enraged' usually embellish - to gain empathy
Journo's embellish to get cut through - its what they do for a livingI have no doubt that there are complete fuckwits out there who have no idea on nudist etiquette and general respect for all. Have always found a small dose of scepticism works well to get to the bottom of things posted on social media...and that includes this site!

EarlDOriginal PosterMay 4, 2024I wholly agree but based on some responses it would seem that common sense isnt very common anymore. It is surprising to me why the matter of simple respect is causing such consternation for some.
Common sense says "Don't be rude".
