  I like that suggestion of Brushwood.  I've heard of it before and I will have to remember to add it to my Bucket List for when I am in the area next.

  People are known to hike and sun naked in the Chautauqua gorge, near Westfield, NY. I haven't been there in several years, but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon. You are likely to encounter a few nudists on a summer weekend, but no one on a week day.
