Ok so my Magic Gold Shaving Powder has become like toilet paper in that it is very hard to find. Walmart has been my go to place to get it but it seems they never have it in stock.
So those of you that use Magic Shaving Powder, where are you purchasing it at (online or in stores and where?)
For those of you that use an actual razor, do you use a cream to lather up and how often do you shave? Do you use anything after you shave to prevent the bumps?
Those of you that wax, do you do it yourself? What products do you use and how often?
Lazer is way to costly so that is out of the question.
I would use my powder weekly so it was nice. I used a razor recently because I have no powder and because I was not active (not running or surfing) I didnt get the bumps. I am now running again and will be surfing so wondering what I can do to avoid the bumps.

I too use the Magic Shave powder and haven't been able to locate any in local stores. I used to get it at Dollar General and CVS pharmacies. Wonder why the shortage? I recently picked up Nair for Men in spray form. Will see how that works. I wasn't crazy about the cream.

Roy StephensJul 21, 2020I've never tried any kind of shave cream or powder. Above I just trim real short with trimmers and below I use a razor without anything on me. I usually shave before I shower because the razor slides better over the skin at that time than it does right after I shower. Never have any problems such as razor burn or anything.

WillOriginal PosterJul 21, 2020
Never have any problems such as razor burn or anything.
I dont razor burn either. My hair when it starts to grow back in get irritated from my clothes rubbing on it that I get bumps and ingrown hairs. If I am not active (not loving around a lot) then I am fine.ReactReply - SI
silversurferJul 21, 2020I used Magic Powder in the past, then went to a place (Wax Strip) and had them waxed along with my ears and eye brows. But that is expensive and right now I wouldn't go in there with the covid. but switched to Nads for Men and use it every 2 weeks or so. It works really well for me. Even the grey hairs.

I've tried Nads. I've had to leave it on longer yet it did last longer before the next use. The cost though is a factor. A bit expensive being I do a complete body shave.

SamJul 23, 2020I've got to apologize for my thoughts because I'm afraid they may be considered insensitive.
But I never understand these questions about hair removal.
I have been clean shaven from my nose to my feet since 1980. I decided that I would remain that way after spending a day at Black's Beach having recently shaved myself smooth prior to that day's visit.
I have shaved myself everyday ( I have skipped a day occasionally because I don' t shower everyday) since then. That means that I have been smooth for 40 years. I have never found it difficult to shave in the shower everyday. I even shave my scrotum and have gotten some comments about that on nude beaches. But that really is of no consequence either. I have to believe that my attitude about how really easy it is to remained shaved has to do with the thickness of my body hair. It is really thin. So that might explain my cavalier attitude toward shaving in respect to someone who is covered with thick body hair.
I use a razor and soap. my preferred soap is Dial Men's. I am still shaved smooth and will remain so as long as I am able to do my own body grooming.ReactReply
