I'm happy to have a opportunity to meet people here. The site has the potential to bring a-lot of new nudists into existence. Also you might find a new local friend to enjoy good times. I just wish we would limit the drama!!! I enjoy reading the posts. I wish I didn't see DAYS & DAYS of return insults back and forth. We all have our faults and opinions so respect that and move on. If someone has a view that is so bad that one needs to insult him/her, either flag them or, don't reply and bump the topic! I'm wondering, right now if I'm gonna get" RIPPED A NEW ONE" on this post. This is counter productive to our real reason (most of us) for being here!

JackNeilsonJul 2, 2011You are not alone. Many of us here deplore these flame wars and would be quite happy to see them disappear into limbo.

dicemanOriginal PosterJul 2, 2011
If you don't like them, why do you read them?
I do like getting info. Thats why I read them. When I see them getting "hot" I skip a few pages to see if the topic is being addressed. If not I move on. Such as I need to do now!ReactReply - DI

Exactly, could not agree more....been away for a while but nothing has changed, i honestly can not see where people get off attacking others for their point of view, crazy

Agreed. I'm sorry, i just about did exactly what i don't like...or, posted about. I won't return to this post.ReactReply - RE
renebbareJul 3, 2011A couple of things I am not sure I agree with in this thread, I dont care for the drama or the insults but I do like wit. As to replies which bump odious subjects/threads, I feel this needs to be done to redress the views sometimes 'trolled' out here. 'Feeding a troll', to me, is by going at him personally rather than discrediting his ofensive opinion.
We have on this site some very eloquent speakers (certainly not myself) for nudism and naturism - very few naked people here have been able to defend succesfully their stance on sex - I wish more of those speakers would stand up and be counted.
This is a nudist site and whilst we may disagree on many things outside of nudism/naturism we should not be looking to 'slice & dice' an opponent with insults, this is not a place for clothes let alone armor.ReactReply - CO
Curt, or CowboyJul 3, 2011
Yet another reason to have forum moderators.
HEAR ! HEAR !
When I see them getting "hot" I skip a few pages to see if the topic is being addressed.
Exactly ! Most of us wouldn't mind skipping a few long-winded insulting posts, but pages and pages is beyond rediculous.
I dont care for the drama or the insults but I do like wit.
As does almost anyone ! Unfortunately, what we see here isn't wit. It makes an attempt to claim that it is, and/or to disguise itself as such, but it isn't. Worse, we see all sorts of attempts to justify continuing drama and pure distasteful argument, none of which hold water. It's not entertaining. ( unless you are the type to pull the wings off of flys just to watch them suffer ) It's not educational. It's never done in a cordial manner, but always confrontational at best. It almost never, with VERY few exceptions, has anything to do with the stated purposes of this site existing at all, or the topic at hand. While we'll never know how many newbies it chases away, we see constant laments about the decent people who have left, and continue to leave, because of it. The incivility of it all ( IMHO ) will destroy this site faster than all of the ill-advised topics, photos, and photo comments combined.ReactReply - FU
FulltimeNudistsJul 3, 2011We are pretty new to the site and I perked up when I saw the subject line. I thought it was talking about TN as in Tennessee. LOL
Like I said...we are new here.
Regarding this thread: In the fairytale 'perfect' world, we all would focus on the facts/info shared and try to ignore childish behavior. But usually it turns into a p*ssing contest and no one ever wins those.ReactReply - 4E
4EVRBAREJul 4, 2011dicemanI SOOOO agree with you in your original post... .. if there is anythingANYTHNGhere that will push me from this site is the "mud slinging" that goes on here in the name of intelligence !! we do not need stats etc to support the slinging match posts whether here or elsewhere .. it is about respect and acceptance of: we are ALL entitled to our own opinions whether right or wrong...why do we loose this in the Internet world when we do not do it in our every day lives......though some might say we do do it..hmmmmm... I have been blessed to meet so many in real from this site and have some of the best friends because of TN and also my wonderful BF, who some know i met via here... yes there are many blessings from here however! I am really over the mud slinging in some of the forums and abuse in chat.. My personal observation & opinion!ReactReply - KR
kramtrohsJul 4, 2011I can swer that some people are only here to breed negativity. if you don't want to make a constructive contribution, then why make one at all!!!???

Very well put Diceman. I could not agree more. TN is a great place for like minded people(Nudists) to network, chat, and even maybe meet one day in person. We do not need the name calling, fanning the flames, or being mean in general. What does that accomplish? There is enough crap on the outside of the nudist community without it also coming from within.

Curt, or CowboyJul 4, 2011
I for one would love to see the day where laws are passed making people just as accountable for their activities online just as they are in real life. Maybe then people will then start to reconsider some of the BS crap they do on the Internet.
While I understand the sentiment, it's neither practical, nor possible. Internet respects not political boundries, so although laws do exist exactly as you state, in most of the Middle East..... Unfortunately, the responsibility rests with the site owner/admin to enforce as they see fit. In some jurisdictions, such as the USA, the law already allows for violations of our other laws, such as threats, copyright, and such, even though some of them are completely unenforcable. Unless/until site owners and ISP's come down hard on violators, the situation will still be exploited by those with no consideration for their fellow human beings.ReactReply - 4E
4EVRBAREJul 8, 2011today i read through some posts in forums and to me it was so sad to see those who call them selves intelligent nudists swearing , using words that are detrimental to others and all in a negative put others down way.. also posts from some that feel their written word and opinions are the only ones...and no one else counts.. even to perceptions .. if we are to clean up this site as in self policing then PLeASe keep your own de quorum and think before you write and see it from the other persons perspective as well.. then write with out blame and shame...
Time we were mature adults here and learnt to have respect for others opinions and perceptions... not judgemental self opinionated eeejets...ReactReply - DE
DesertRatJul 8, 2011To NudeIn MA, I agree with your reply to the person who was wishing for a law to stop certain speech on the internet. I was thinking of writing something similar, but you said it very well so I don't need to. You also saved me a lot of time doing all that typing. Thank you.
