I am curious to know if there are others who are just are nude at home or only get nude when a partner/roommate is gone. Just curious.

I am sure there are, just like there are many people that are only nude while taking a shower. Where I live I spend most of my time nude and do so in front of other people. Lots of people (including most of my neighbors) have seen me nude

Seriously, "home nudist" seems like an oxymoron to me. At what point do you become a nudist? I would guess everyone is a "shower nudist", and others are no doubt "bed nudists". IMO being a nudist means being socially nude at times. I suppose that could include having naked pictures on your profile. In a sense that is "socially nude." I guess it's like that tree in the forest that nobody hears, if nobody ever sees you naked, are you really a nudist?

To me basic idea of naturism/nudism is that it whenever possible and reasonable, is essentially social. Someone being a "home nudist", so nude only when no other individuals around sharing the nudity, to me are not nudists, unless they convinced that "home nudism" is a temporary phase on their way to more social lifestyle in nude.

To me home nudist is a person who mainly is nude at home for the lack of opportunities outside home (like often is in societies that are extremely negative towards any nudity outside private personal sphere like many Asian or Middle Eastern countries), not averse or shy to going nude outside with others.

I've been a nudist for 12 years or so, most of that time a home nudist....When I started to be nude around other people and went to the local nudist resort, I felt like I crossed a line and became a "true nudist". (Oddly enough, more of my textile friends accepted me as a nudist then)...... Now that is just me, how I feel. Other people can be a nudist and never leave the house and that's just fine!

Unlike birth there is no specific time that marks when an individual crosses the line from being a textile to being a nudist. Also there are various levels of nudism starting from people that just go around their home nude, those that are nude in nudist venues only, those that go to nude beaches, and those that attend a lot of nudist events or go nude in other public areas. Also you can find a lot of people nude on a nude beach that will clearly tell you that they are NOT nudists. To me being a nudist is following nudist values not just going around without your clothes on

I sometimes go nude when my wife is home, but she doesn't understand or like it. One day I even went nude when her friend was visiting. Her friend didn't mind & thought it was good that I had enough chutzpah (nerve) to do it. When there's no one home, I'm always naked. Also, how do we convince non nudists we're not perverts or exhibitionists? Anyone have any advice?

nude 24/7 unless it's really cold or if i have do run a errand, will slip only t-shirt on when going to mailbox and nude a few times taking garbage out, ultimate dream is of living fulltime at a nudist camp - yes nudist resort is to formal for me i like it rustic. well i would consider option of lake como in florida which certainly is not rustic .

[/quote]Don't hide the fact that you're a nudist. If you act ashamed, people will perceive that there must be something perverted about it. Live your life normally without clothes, and your friends will see there's nothing perverted about it.

Will there ever be a definition of what a TrueNudist is? I think it's more how you perceive yourself. You can be a nudist with clothes on or you can be a textile that enjoys not having any clothes on. Is the glass half full or half empty? Will this one ever be answered? It just depends on your point of view. So all you TrueNudist enjoy your naked time, and all you textiles enjoy not having any clothes on when you can. Maybe one day you will be TrueNudist. Or that's how I feel anyway.

I'm mostly a home nudist as I don't have any local friends who are also a part of the lifestyle. Definitely trying to become more "social" about it though. Had my first experiences on a nude beach in the last week and absolutely loved it, was a great experience.

I only get the chance to be nude at home, alone. I consider myself a nudist because I really do not like wearing clothes. Please, less of the nudist snobbery, some of us just don't have the opportunity to be nude socially.

I take every opportunity I can to be nude at home. My parents are not nudists, so the only times I can be naked are when I'm sleeping (I lock my bedroom door) and when they're out.

Personally I would prefer to be without clothes all the time but In my state if I went outside naked they would hang me (after they put some clothes on me). Naturism is a lifestyle and a state of mind that is unfortunatly hampered by location and laws.I don't consider exobitionsts to be nudists, thier just lookig for a thrill. I accept those who enjoy being nude wheather privatly or in the company of others textile or nudist.

I'm nude at home as much as I can be. My wife is actually surprised when I am wearing clothes. That is often her first clue that I am going out somewhere.

My husband loves having me nude in his company, but he's not thrilled with the idea of pictures of me floating around the Internet and he's not comfortable in his own body, so at home is pretty much the only opportunity I have.
