Feb 18, 2016It's time we started to ignore blank and private profiles. This is a SOCIAL website, but some people seem to have great difficulty understanding what the word social means. We know it can take a few days for new members to fill out their details, but many of them have been LURKING around here for years with completely empty profiles.
It only takes a few seconds to check a profile before replying to a post. If the poster's profile is blank or private, ignore it. If we all do this, many of them will soon get the message, their unsociable behavior is not welcome here.

If someone chooses to make their first approach to a social group by entering a conversation in the forums, why not??? I fully intend to continue responding to the content of posts, when it moves me to do so. Why is it so hard to imagine that coming out on the internet as a nudist can be a scary thing, and beginning with forum posts a perfectly reasonable way to deal with that fear?
Sure, voyeurs and axe murderers might also have private profiles. But they would simply browse photos, and maybe message / friend people. They would have less than zero reason to post on the forums, where they would attract the attention of the grumpy-old-men brigade without furthering any putative nefarious end.ReactReply - HS
