Who thinks everyone must post full nude pictures and have a totally filled out profile, I have sent them a message how about anyone who agrees with me do the same, lets get rid of private profiles!!!!!!!! if you disagree let me know why but Iam tired of looking at private profiles no info no pictures nothing. I am a nudist and I have nothing to hide and am not ashamed to be seen naked all my pictures are public and my profile is filled out and I am a certified lifetime member...

MikeMay 21, 2020Agreed
I realise that some are very cautious but are reluctant.
However, I see that the very reason they are cautions is that they have concerns about some on the site who are simply here for the won't reasons. If all we're required to be certified it would go some way to helping.
If I encounter a person who is not certified and has a private profile. I immediately block them.

timMay 22, 2020Yes , it seems incongruous,,, why do we all enjoy our nudity ? , for me it is about being open , inclusive and not having shame about such a simple thing ,,, ban the buggers I say xx.

LenMay 22, 2020Totally agree with all here
For me, if it is a pvt profile then they are not genuine and only wanted to look
at the pics. I look at it this way, if they are trying to be discreet then from who?
If someone they know sees the profile then they also see theirs so they then both
know something more about each otherReactReply - DE
DerekOriginal PosterMay 22, 2020no I am not a voyeur I am a nudist on a nudist website, so going by what you said if a person with no info in there profile and no pics you would want to start a conversation with them or if they sent you a friend request you would approve it??? I am not trying to shame anyone I just like to know a bit about the person I am chatting with and what they look like. also this 2020 there are lots of ways to edit a picture to hide the face, people can even do profile pictures...
I like to think we are all adults and nudity makes everyone equal and no one should be ashamed of who they are. I hope I addressed any concerns to your post, and I hope you have a great day naked.

thebarenecissityMay 22, 2020I'm in total agreement that private profiles must be totally banned from here. People who are not comfortable with sharing their nudity here have no business to be on this site. If you see me, I should be able to see you which is fair enough. There is no one- upmanship or discoveries to be made here and voyeurism is thrown out! In this respect, I think Oh! Naturist is a much fairer site, except it does not have a chat room.

As for me. Money is tight. I'm not a private profile but apparently I have been approached by private profile to be my friend. Now with that being said. I'm scoping out those kind of people. Listen I am a true nudist! Just can't afford paying the premium price. Enough said. I can read between the lines of whom is real or not. I agree what your saying. It's fustrating for and others. But let face it. Let's weed them out. I know in my heart that there are good people out there. Good subject by the way! Hmm.

nudeinmelbourneMay 22, 2020
There is a problem from the start. Can you see it? The OP is asking for two very different things, and the replies that follow are showing this. No private profiles is fine, but don't jumble it with demanding nudes. I am a bit younger than most of the replies so far, so perhaps my views are quite different.
No you're spot on. I agree, a minimum of info should be filled out, but demanding everyone must post their bits is too far. A lot of people - particularly younger and new to the scene - are just figuring themselves out and what it all means to them. Making such demands doesn't help with the growth/continuation of the lifestyle, especially where there are SO many creepy sexual comments on photos!! Gross.ReactReply - ST
StevieLornaMay 22, 2020What about all those profiles with open leg shot pictures, maybe they should go too.

JohnMay 22, 2020The decision about profile completion, privacy and pictures is a complex and delicate one.
We want to encourage new nudists who may not be confident about putting too much information on their profiles at first but who will add to them as they get into thing.
Equally there will be nudists in sensitive jobs who wish to participate fully but are not in a position to allow certain information about themselves to become public. Without a difficult and complicated process of making profiles selectively private these people are left with the options of a partially filled profile, a "friends only" profile or a totally private profile.
Personally, I would like to see every profile have a picture of the person, even if it needs to be a clothed one or in dark wrap-round glasses, especially for new members who ma not yet nave any nude pictures to share.ReactReply - EA

JonathanMay 22, 2020Yes, I agree that there's a distinction the OP needs to make between not having hidden profiles and explicitly demanding nudes. I'd love to be able to walk around on here naked just like I walk around on a beach, but if nothing else there are so many fakes and scammers on the internet that I don't really want lots of my pics being taken and used elsewhere for whatever purpose, hence why I have very few on here or other social media sites.

Banning private profiles and requiring some information in them is fine, requiring nude photos is not for reasons noted above. I am here for discussion, not viewing or posting pictures.ReactReply - LELeeMay 22, 2020
Someone telling me I must post nude pictures is too similar to someone telling me I must wear clothes to the beach.

FullSunMay 23, 2020I agree on getting rid of private profiles and requiring certification after a trial period. Regarding pictures though, as others have said its a complex matter. For me I dont really care who sees me when I control when and where I might be seen but being told I have to be seen is kind of creepy to me. Why do others HAVE TO see all of me?

Even if in theory, only administrators can access them, I still have concerns that the site could be hacked and the pictures could wind up elsewhere.ReactReply - NO
noodengr2May 23, 2020I find private profiles annoying. Not sure we should ban them. Might just be better to shun them somehow. On a personal level just scroll on by. But maybe the site could limit them to discourage the practice

There is a difference in a nudist photo to share and a photo of a crotch shot coming across as exhibition, sexual invitation, or just bad taste. I can bet that all nudist already know what sex organs look like.Yes i'm fairly new to TruNu but by no means to the belief and practice of being a nudist. 34+ years as nudist for those that want to know. My main reason for being here is to find other nudist to make friends with. I have come to feel the same about private profiles as i do about blank profiles. Even if i take time to chat with them, i still have no idea who they are. I have heard said once you befriend a private profile you will be able to see everything about them. I feel that is asking someone to trust you on who you are while they see what they want. I don't mean photos so much either. I am and have been a nudist a long time so i don't care who sees my photos. I do still have a few listed as 'certified friends only' right now from advice from others, but they will soon all be moved to 'certified only'I would love to be able to make good friends on here, but as for non-certified profile, no way to know who they are. For private profiles, feels like i am to ask for their approval and acceptance before knowing anything about them. mark_870ReactReply
