there must a double standard with some of our friends
some friends want you to message them all the time and some w2ill not answer a message if you want to keep in touch with friends all we can ask is for you to answer if only to say HI
please be a good friend and just answer

westheathenNov 20, 2010You are correct, there is a double standard, or to be more precise two types of "friend". There is the type that you come across in RL, to who the idea of friendship is getting to know the person better and socialising. Then the second type is the internet type who have become known as "friend-whores". To them the friending process is just a way to make it look as though they are very poplular; large numbers of people who have agreed to accept them as friends and then never hear from them again. Something I seem to be guilty of and am trying to put right.

Cheri Donna DawsonNov 21, 2010Some times it's difficult to respond to just a "hi" message on here. I get over 200 regular emails daily to which I have to respond to about a third. I also moderate several message boards and 10 listservs plus I have a regular job, run a nudist club, have 7 acres, a husband, and 3 cats. There is just so much time in the day.
If a "friend" asks a question, I'll happily respond within 24 hrs.ReactReply
