Yes, but it was years ago. The last few New Years that have past found me almost asleep but listening to the neighborhood resound with a multitude of 'booms' through a good part of the night. Some of the flashes were visible through / above the trees. I just part of the deal. And I do hope the revelers enjoyed the show.

Fortunately, we had high winds all day and last night, so very few "booms". Unfortunately, it just means they will happen in a few days once the front has moved through and the wind dies down, unless they all decide to keep them for the 4th of July noise making. John aka cobeachbum

We are members at Solair in CT. They have a New Year's dinner/dance for members and associates every year and we go most years. They have a dinner and then a DJ for dancing. At midnight they supply a champagne toast. Pretty standard New Year's Eve party, other than everyone being nude. The best part (other than getting to spend New Year's Eve nude) is we don't have to get on the road after dark. We just stay at our site. At $25/person it is way cheaper than when we've gone into Boston for NYE and a whole lot more fun.
