Ok so this morning at the gym I got to thinking about the new people I will see come January. I remember this from this past January where after I would work out and go to the locker room to shower I would strip naked and stay that way until I got dressed and left. I would not cover up at all and I noticed that some people had an issue with it. They never said anything to anyone but I could tell by the way they were acting that they were uncomfortable with me walking around nude.

So with that, how many have experienced the same thing? Do any of you seem to do things more or longer in the locker room to get people to leave the gym? I know the gym is busy for a couple of months with new faces.

When in the locker room at my gym, I am nude for as long as possible. There are a few other guy's that do the same thing and others that keep a towel covering themselves. That's fine with me! Some guy's, including myself, have conversations with others that are nude as well. I have never heard of any comment being made about it.

The guys that are there year round dont even bother. The new people always seem look at me, look down, then look at me again with a different look. Not a disgusted look or anything. I can tell they are thinking like cover up man. I just look at them and nod like yep Im naked and I dont care.

This January and February I will be keeping an eye on these new people to see how they react to someone that is comfortable with themself to be nude in front of everyone.

Still waiting for my gym to remove the glass doors of the shower stalls since they always have issues with them.

Ok my post was not about who teased who or played with their penis in the locker room. It was to find out if we change when a group of people that are new are around? Meaning you used to dry off in the shower stall but now dry off in the common area or at the locker?

At the Y I am a member of I don't use the locker room very often. Go there a few days a week and play pickleball and do yoga and swim laps. I live a mile away and usually just go home and shower so I don't have to pack a bag unless have been swimming laps but when I have showered there almost everyone is always covered after showering. I do dry off at the lockers after the shower but don't walk around nude. Most men in there seem to be pretty prudish and I don't want to ruffle any feathers. Maybe if I did walk around undressed maybe more would feel comfortable that way, I don't know. Being shaved down there might throw some over the edge. Not in a good way. At the beach club we are a member of, when I did have a gym membership almost everyone walked around nude in the locker room as did I although I don't ever remember any of them being smooth down there. That was before I was.

There are a few guys that I see along with me that are smooth down there at the gym. Some walk around nude and others cover but are not prudish about it. Meaning that they cover after getting out of the shower instead of in the shower and when they get to the locker they remove the towel and put on clothes.
Nude with a purpose, things need to dry and putting clothes back on while either sweaty or wet is gross and uncomfortable. Seems as if the younger guys are more uncomfortable as a result of the trauma about nudity and sex the current generation has been blasted with. Its a shame, as far as others comfort, its a locker room, nudity is expected.
You would think but this summer I was at a fitness center and in the men's locker room they had a bulletin that said everyone was to be covered at all times.

I can't believe the number of educated and very literate people I see on TV or listen to on the radio that omit the not. Omit the not and the question becomes, "Why not care less if you could do so?"

I go naked in locker room also.. and in steam room, towel open. There used to be a sign on steam room that "appropriate" attire to be worn. Which to me is towel or nothing. The sign disappeared.

I've never even considered if my being naked in the locker room affects anyone else. Nor do I care.
The locker rooms, men's and women's, are there to serve a function.
You go into the venue, get changed ... do what you're there to do (in my case I use the gym equipment, go for a sauna and steam) then head back to the locker room. I get out of my sweaty gym stuff, or my swim shorts..... I'm now naked..... grab my shower stuff and a towel (which goes over my shoulder. Why would I spend an extra minute wrapping it round me... I'm going for a shower lol.

After my shower I usually run my hands over me to 'squeegee' the excess water off me. Grab my shower stuff grab my towel and head back into the main part of the locker room. Although this time my towel IS wrapped round me for the walk to my locker.

In my experience... it's very difficult to dry oneself with the towel wrapped round ones waist.
You don't dry that way at home ... why look a tit and do it at the locker room.

Once I'm at my locker, I'm gonna get that towel and dry myself the same as I would do at home. I HATE putting on clothes if I am wet. And I certainly won't stay in sweaty clothes just to drive home and shower there when there's a perfectly good locker room with great facilities at the gym included in my membership fee. :-)

I'm there for myself, no one else. If people want to watch me dry go right ahead but I'm taking no notice of anyones reactions. Different if I were to walk about 'showing off my nudity' or as I have seen a guy doing at my gym ... sat on the bench by his locker and having a wank.
Each to their own. I'm not offended by it, I just don't care what others are up to in the locker room. I'm there to get fitter, grab a steam or a sauna (as a treat to myself for actually doing my full gym set) get cleaned up after being very sweaty and go home for a coffee.

I also DO take the time to chat to others while I'm in the locker room weather I'm naked or not. If that convo happens to start in the locker room and we both head to the showers... we carry on the convo.. Sometimes there are guys in the locker room who don't chat, and I'll respect that. Likewise there are those I see regularly and we have great convos while doing what we're in there to do.... but I always say 'Hi' when I walk in if people are in there.
I've had many a great convo in the locker rooms and picked up some very useful tips about using the machines, or floor exercises to try when in the gym. But then chatting with complete strangers comes naturally to me because of my job.

The point of my post: ... I'm in there to get changed, use the gym, sauna and steam facilities. Afterwards use the showers..... I will not change how I get dressed / undressed / showered or dried .just because some people may be offended I'm nude. It's a locker room ... get over yourselves. If you can't accept there will be nude / semi nude guys in there ... get a home gym and don't come to the public ones :-)
