New Years fun

So I just found out today that I'm going to have 6 days off during New Years and I'd really like to have some travel some place but I need some ideas. I'm in Los Angeles right now and was thinking anywhere in between Mexico and Vancouver. But I'm just not sure. Most of the people that I know around this part of the world are either traveling or aren't available so I might just be alone. Not opposed to that thought.

Any ideas?
