  And as always, its a good idea to have a few conversations with a person before allowing them to be on your friends list.

  It shouldn't be a popularity contest, and I often look at the friends of my friends, just to see what kinds of people associate with the people I associate with.

  Tineye.
  There are a few image catalog sites, but none of them are all inclusive, nor all that accurate.
  Simple cropping will cause tineye to miss, but if tineye finds it, it's a fairly safe bet someone was to lazy
  to even crop.
  It's a good start, though.

  So far, I haven't had any of my pics stolen (to my knowledge). Where they appear elsewhere, it's because I put them there.

  i always look at the quality, most fake picts are studio quality (cause they use model picts found on the net), u never get that quality with your own camera

  The pixelated image could also be caused by the person using a camera phone, which aren't usually very good quality cameras of course.

  You can submit nude photos to tineye to see  if they're anywhere else as well.  I've done this before and had hits on several pornography sites from a suspected fake profile.  Just yesterday in the chatroom in fact lol.

  And in regards to mandatory certification.  I would re-certify if it was mandatory, it certainly is a good idea.  I often wonder though why people who actually post nudes don't get certified.  The only explination I have is that they are good fakers?  There's really no reason NOT to be certified if you're posting nude photos of what you claim to be as yourself.  If you are comfortable enough to post naked pictures you should be required to become certified.

  Tiny Eye does not find all the images. I came across a TN member who has no profile and 7 photos taken from a porn website. I flagged the member but the person is still here. I even provided the powers to be with the web site showing the images.

  No it was already stated that TinEye is not perfect and does not catch everything, but it is useful for a lot.

I admit that I'm new to the site here and doesn't really know my way around here yet! But, I don't understand why certification has to do with photos being stolen or not?? If people doesn't belive the photos that I post are mine, well, lets meet on a beach.... On the other hand I post photos where I try to be artistic with a twist.... Not just a nudie photo for the sake of nudety! To me that's just like looking trough someones famely albums wich I have no interrest in or can relay to!

  Hi, one good  way to stop your photos being stolen (or at least to make it less likely) is to watermark them.  In the watermark if you include your username and the name of the site then the thief will have to work on the photo to remove the info.  This is unlikely as there are plenty of other photos out there without watermarks.

Lets turn it around for a sec! Lets say my intention here was to steal peoples pictures! How would you do that most efectivly? Well, you open a profile and get "sertification"! A sertification here doesn't prove anything else than that you are the one who opened a profile (maybe more eager to steal photos than others) ..... And woila, you have full access to all photos, and the best part is that nobody can prove that you stole the photos! The "mickey mouse " sertification just makes it easy because people let their guard down. I'm just trying to say that if safety is the most important part, well... then don't take any risks! And don't make general judgements that all of us who are not "sertified" are here with bad intentions. Shurely there are plenty of creeps here, with and without sertification.

  Aquanaturist:  It did not surprise me to find out that you are not certified as you seem to have no knowledge of the process.  I will admit that it  is not foolproof but without having to submit ID to TN it is as good as it can be.

  In what way is it "mickey mouse"?  To be certified a person needs to submit 2 photos, one nude and one fully clothed.  In bot the person should be holding a sign which states their username and the website name; also both pictures have to be against the same background.  Surely this makes it difficult for duplicity as it would be difficult to get fully clothed and nude photos of someone with the relevant sign without them knowing about it.

  I want to say that he seems to be a bit misguided about what you get when you are certified.  You certainly do NOT get access to all pictures, you have to be a paid member to get this perk.

  Getting certified only shows that you submitted pictures of YOURSELF and allows you to see photos that are marked certified only, but you can still ONLY see the first five photos of a persons gallery.

Stil just the admin sees your photos, and he can't have the time to control if you put up another on your profile 2 days later. Anyhow!
