Profile Cleanup

  On your first point, it's a recommendation that has been summarily ignored by the owners since the creation of the site. There is also a flaw in the site programming that would create problems. Delete a profile, and every post that profile has made also disappears. Not a show stopper as far as I'm concerned, but it would make for some broken conversations. Ironically, photo media appears to be forever. Even if you delete a photo (or movie) from your profile, it stays on the media server.

John aka cobeachbum[/quote] In addition to posts being deleted, resulting in a response to a nonexistent post if the responder hasn't quoted it, any threads started by the member who left are deleted in their entirety!

  If all of the ancient profiles were deleted in cases where the person has not signed in for at least the past two years, there would be only a few hundred members left. Out of those few hundred only a dozen would be actively contributing to the site. How could such numbers be compared to the alleged 1,000,000 'members' that the site presently claims???
