Public Figure---What would you do?

All of us would love to see nudism become increasingly popular, accepted and mainstream. That may be happening in a less structured way. But that's another subject.
Let's assume you were at a nudist resort and came upon a public figure; someone beyond the local favorite teacher, cop or pastor. But on a higher level such as a local city mayor, or your favorite weather guy or gal. Maybe someone on a higher level of prominence. Such as a congressman or actor or author.
We always respect each other's privacy. Would you do the same with a prominent figure? I'm not asking if you would vindictively 'out' them. But would word get out? Would you tell a friend? Or two? What would take priority-your satisfaction of nudism being enjoyed by a prominent person, or their privacy?

I would treat them with the same respect I give to everyone I meet.

I would expect the same in return.

It would depend on where it is. If it's a puplic beach, I see no reason to hide anything. If it is a members only place, everyone should be entitled to their privacy.  You mention actors, but I don't see an actor or actress as being important. They just happen to be lucky enough to live the millionaire lifestyle given to them by the public. If an actor or actress objects to lack of privacy, they could always get a proper job and work for a living.

These are answers I expected, and hoped for. I'd extend the courtesy on a public beach as well. As far as actors go; well, they may still have a career at stake. They're people too. Despite the way some of them act. No pun intended.

I think most of us would give anyone respect, dignity & as much 'privacy' as they wanted. Public figures or 'well known' personalities don't usually socialise in so called "Public Area's" and naturist well known persons are no different, usually! We met a very well known international actress on a secluded piece of coastline in the south of England, about 4 years ago. Oddly we didn't recognise her or the male actor (less well known) that was with her. We got naked and put up our wind-shield screen, we put some bottles of fruit juices into the sea to keep them cool, then while walking back to our 'patch' my wife & I came face to face with a naked 'star'. She was alone walking to the huge shaded parasol area near the shoreline, she carried only a scarf & a small bag. She spoke to me & asked what was in our bottles, I told her it was blended fruit juice, she said that herself & her friend would do an exchange if we agreed? A large piece of 'Veggie Pie' for a litre of juice? We laughed and said "Keep the pie, have a bottle from us free if you come and sit awhile with us." She and her group agreed providing we took no photo's & did not record or use a phone. Of course we agreed. We had just over 2 hours with a very well known 'mature' actress sharing quality naked time. It feels great knowing I have been naked with her.

We have some very high-end resorts here, "textile", I suppose, but where the guests are given wide latitude; some do choose to be nude. Neither their nudity, nor their presence on the island, is discussed. (Exception to prove the rule: aformerresort employee did tell me about one such rich-famous-naked person, because they were rude to staff.) My sympathy goes to people whose livelihood puts them in a security/privacy bubble; I'd try not to be part of the problem - just take the encounter as it comes, acknowledging it afterward only to the extent that it was consistent with public knowledge.

Treat them the same as I would any other nudist I meet.

They have the same right to privacy as everyone else - if the encounter happens in a private or public space makes no difference in that regard ...

I know I shouldn't say this. but, BULL SHIT, - you see a famous personnaked? and you wouldn't tellanyone? - as I said, BULL SHIT, - you would tell at least one friend and swear them to secrecy and then they will do the same thing. Human nature.

I have run into famous people in a few places, airports etc.  Personally I note them to myself and maybe to whoever I am with but otherwise ignore their presence.  In my opinion people should be left alone when they are on their own time.  For example an NBA player or other celebrity is fair game to those that want autographs etc when they are working at a game, practice, or whatever their role is but when they are off the clock they should be treated as anyone else.

Due to the fact that I spent a lot of time working in the movie/television industry, I learned that you never have any personal dealings with the principals unless they initiate it. So I guess the same attitude has dictated my reaction to "celebrities" when I encountered them away from the set. If I met a well known person in a nudist environment, I believe I would treat them like any other nudist there. It's the same as meeting a less well known person, but one you know to have social standing in the community. There would be no valid reason to out the individual. Being a social nudist requires the trust of other nudists. We should all pledge to never violate that trust. DesertRat.
My sympathy goes to people whose livelihood puts them in a security/privacy bubble; I'd try not to be part of the problem
My feelings exactly. I don't see how anyone can live like that.  And I certainly wouldn't contribute to the problem either.  Franly, I've never understood how members of the paparazzi can get away with what they do.  If I were to stick a camera in somebody's face when they'd asked me not to, I would expect to have my lights punched out.  Come to think of it, I haven't listed any heroes on my profile yet.  I just may run list Alec Baldwin lol!
We are not all like you Thomas. I respect other people as many other nudist on here do as well.
Yes I have met a few public celebs and said hello and in some cases more, yes I have told others I met so & so without the need to expand on specifics.
I have also been seriously embarrised by the actions of some Americans in the way they disrecetfully  treated high level state officials on a large project we were involved on in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1994. However I did get a rise out of the way the offenders were put back in their place without malice, simple but effective.
So wallow in your own bull excrement.  But in your defence "loose lips do sink ships" because humans love indulging in oneupmanship.

Obviously, 'expecting respect in return'..... is a quite an alien notion to some people.
