Today - July 5, 2013 - I went to Gunnison, and found - for the first time ever - NO 'naturist' section. It was replaced by a giant roped-off area, designated as a 'nesting area' for a certain bird species. There was a small, fairly crowded section of the beach next to this, but everyone was wearing bathing suits; hence, it was clearly not the 'naturist' section. Does anyone have any info about why the traditionally nude part of Sandy Hook seems to have suddenly disappeared?

I was there just a few days ago and there were alot of textiles around but a fair amount of naked people were also present.
