Since the economic crash in 2008, have any members here witnessed a noticeable drop in membership at their respective camp or resort? When times are tough, discretionary spending is the first to go, and camp fees would certainly fall in that catagory. I truly worry about the future of landed facilities if this economy doesn't turn around soon, and dramatically.

Not in resort, because I haven't been for a variety of reasons lately, but my non-landed club raised dues because of the economy and such, to the point I had to let it go.
They kept me on the newsletter though, and I see from the members list that I'm not the only one who had to make discretionary adjustments in personal budgets.
What's clear is that our government model ( raise costs when times are tough ) is clearly very wrong !
