We were there about 10 years ago, and what they write about is so true in this article. If you went nude at night, you were made fun of. And there were so many swinger and sex clubs there.
When we talked with shop keepers and restaurant owners, (those that spoke English and we were surprised by how many know of Terra Cotta Inn), everyone said the same thing, nudists were cheap and swingers spent a lot of money. That's why swingers were coming.
Nudists need to support AANR, TNS, INF, CNF, etc and they need to vacation at nudist resorts. If they don't, more and more places will go swinger, and there won't be any organizations left supporting the nude beach movement or nudism.
I see this happening more and more.
Remember, everytime you go to a nude beach, but don't belong to a nudist organization, you are being a cheapskate taking advantage of all the hardwork and money of others.

MC[/quote]    So true.   Even if you don't have a home club, you can join directly or I will facilitate membership through my club, going into its 25th year.    Terra Cotta is definitely a class place.  I just wish there was less geography between the east and west US coasts.

Thanks for the news, wabbit.  All the replies have been good.  Mary makes a good point - if you want something you have to support it.  There's no free lunch, even for nudists.  Gunnison beach here charges an affordable entrance fee and has the added advantage of being public so there is other funding.  Unfortunately, that is not the norm in the US for most nudist venues.

Roosterock State Park outside of Portlnd, Oregon will always be a nude beach.  The person that owned the property gave it to the state to make into a park with the stipulation that it had to stay a nude beach or be given back.
