Skin Care...

As nudists (and human beings), we are all about skin :-) LOL...
and we expose a much greater surface area of skin to the elements than the 'textile' public...
and while it is mostly beneficial, i.e. Vitamin D, and better, more natural temperature regulation, improved mood, etc.
some of us have issues with our skin (the bodies largest organ), i know i do...
after all if you are going to 'love the skin you are in' you have to take good care of it...
does anyone want to share, any tips or special things you do to take care of your skin?

    I'd like to hear this also.  When my wife and I visited a resort recently, I was complimenting her figure and appearance, and she made the remark that all the other ladies there had lovely skin all over (not just great tan).  We didn't ask what they did to have such perfect skin.

    Find a good moisturizing sunscreen lotion and use it. Reapply reapply reapply.

    Ya know, I've never had any problems going without anything.  Maybe it's because I'm young, but I think it's more because I'm part Cherokee.

    Phil, thanks for the link.  My wife asked me to print it.  I think we already have most of the ingredients and may look for the others and try it out.  Of course, there's not much sun right now.

    The one topic I have been looking for is on how to protect the skin from too much sun while enjoying the nudity.I have recently grown an afinity to tattoos. Being dark skinned I have to avoid exposing myself to too much sunlight in order for my tattoos to stand out. Not only does the sun darken my skin, it also makes my tattoo fade faster than it should. With all of these in mind how can I enjoy shedding off my clothes? I have no qualms about being naked outside my home... but my tattoos would suffer.

    What I've done for years ( though not this year ) has been simple, and worked well.
    When I get in the sun, right away apply sun screen of the highest SPF that can be found, then forget about it.
    It takes about 1/2 hour or so to start working, so I have a "controlled" exposure to the sun, diminishing as time passes, regardless of what the weather does. Never burnt that way, but after several days in a row could have enough of a tan to be misteaken for another racial heritage altogether !!
    In your case, you probably want to apply an hour or so BEFORE you get into the sun.
    Remember, if you shower, swim, etc. and reapply it'll be ANOTHER 1/2 hour before it starts working again.

    I believe you... but the problem is I don't always carry sunblock or sunscreen with me in all of the places I go to. Sometimes I just go and visit some friends and the opportunity to go naked is there, without the sunblock.

    Then I would ask if anyone has any.
    ANY sunblock is more effective than none. OR. just accept that you'll likely be getting some tan that day.
    OR toss a small amount, and ounce or three, in the glove box of your car, so it's almost always available.
