By being clothing free and naked, we nudists are simply following the normal, natural patterns of life here on Earth as literally no other species aside from some humans wears clothing. By being naked we join every other species alive in the form nature intends for us to have. Anyone else ever think about this? Or if you haven't thought about it, what do you think about this realization? Pretty cool, huh?

Right! Keep the clothes off the pets, but then take the clothes off the humans and keep them off. There you go, everything is normal!

Some people is so afraid of their own nudity that made it illegal. In a couple of days (June 21) will be "National Naked Hiking Day", what better way to experience nature, yet people have to get legal permits from the authorities to hike naked in a national park. Talk about using the law to fight nature and life!

Agree with you! It seems weird when dogs are wearing clothes... so as people do, especially on the beach - they cover their bodies with the pieces of fabrics which they do not need at all!

Certainly an interesting topic as it correlates heavily with why are we clothed.
A great BBC doco (sorry title escapes me) examines this in great detail. The leading cause to be clothed emanates from our ability to perspire from all of our body, whereas this is not the same with all other animals.
Additionally the doco found that its a handbrake on procreation - apparently humans have an inbuild shame mechanism that makes us feel uncomfortable when nude with humans other than our chosen partner.
Either way I love being nude!

no permits available where I live (QLD Australia) - public nudity is completely illegal.
That said will be planning a nude hike on 21st June now that I know its World Nude Hiking Day! Just gotta make sure I don't get caught...

The problem is that many people who profess to be nudists direct their attention and focus at other people. To understand what I am trying to say on this site. Look at some of the avators and how men present themselves. In their approach there alone to nudism they are presenting themselves in a sexual way, hence by how you present yourself when in public view is by the very nature of your nudism effect that some people will imply indecent exposure. Now if a person for example was simply mowing the lawn nude, then that person could be seen by others, but the focus and attention is mowing the lawn. yes the naked person knows and understands they can be seen by others, but the focus and attention is not directed at another person. The gardener is simply going about his/her business mowing the lawn nude. In another example, say going shopping. A person could focus their attention on looking for goods and collecting those goods and then paying at the check-out. Keeping the conversations normal and not presenting the naked body at anyone else in a manner that the person is having to look away etc. Its a two way understanding, the nudist does not present their naked body at a person such that your privates are in their face, and the clothed person can adjust their mindset to focus on doing their job and going about their business without being affected by seeing a nudist. It really is something else to experience and understand when a man can be naked around adult women and everyone just gets along without sexual intent. Don't knock it until you've experienced it. The women I've been around don't look for sexual intent and treat nudism as a normal part of life. Now I've been here in private and public with women and nobody got their backs up or became offended. Its all about how you present yourself and how you act.ReactReply

You can Google it. Another good read on the subject is A Brief History of Nakedness from Philip Carr-Gomm.
I know people dont read much these days but if you have a genuine interest and want to inform your perspective beyond conventional popular cultural opinion it is worth the effort.

I also see myself as a human being and accept that we are too one of many species on the planet. But I do also know that we have delineated ourselves from all other species. We make conscious decisions well beyond others and we have developed many things well beyond any other species. Part of being human is literally the decision to be clothed or not, and we can think about this and debate it. I don't see any other species that has the capacity to do this and accept that this is part of the human condition... And respect and understand those who don't make the same decision as me!ReactReply
