Tan Through Clothing

whilst cruising through a few web pages I have come across a site which sells clothing which they claim allows an all over tan while appearing fully covered. they sell coverups, shorts, shirts, and swim wear. has anyone ever tried this product, doe it really work, and is it old anywhere else other than online....I don't trust online vendors as a matter of course.Anyone ever try these products? did they work?

    I used to have some swimming briefs and shorts from SolarTan (Now lifestyles Direct).  They work okay (about the same as SPF 10 lotion), but tend to leave lines where the seams are.  For a woman, I suspect they are mostly unnoticable from any other suit.  For a man, if there are air gaps between the suit and the skin, it is basically transparent.  The wild color schemes do a lot to confuse the eye, but it's not perfect.  They do tend to be rather pricey.

    I did have a pair of what SolarTan called coverup shorts that I really liked.  Lost them in Carlyle Lake, IL several years ago, and haven't been able to find another pair like them.  They were a fine black mesh that was opaque to the eye, but did let the sun shine though quite nicely, and they dried very quickly which was great.

    I don't bother anymore.  If I'm at a place I can be nude, I'm nude.  If not, I reluctantly wear regular swim trunks.

    I wear mine all the time in the marina (2 Pair 10 inch shorts).  They are like 7-10 SPF but they dry really quick and are very light weight. I never notice a line but then as soon as I'm away from the marina I'm sailing nude so if I did get a line its gone quick.  I take them when I travel so if I have to get up in the night I can slip them on and not freak out the hotel guests :~)

    Hey I figure I'd be nude if it were not for some law that says I have to have the boys covered so......Like Safe Auto.....Minimum Coverage is good enough

    I am kind of thinking this might be a great addition to our wardrobe, after reading peoples thoughts and experience. I love an all over tan, and there are times when it is impractical to be nude in public. I dont worry too much about transparency when clothing is wet, a lot of fabrics are opaque and hugging when wet.....if I am getting wet, I hope I dont have to wear clothing.

    As I said above, they do leave lines where the seams and waistband are.  You can mitigate this by moving the suit around throughout the day to move the seams and waistband, but you will still end up with lines.
