    I had one of these in 1965, but I don't think it's the kind of bike you mean.

    years back they where also hinged in that style. fold them up and put in your trunk or carry into work

    and ride home at the end of the day

    I was always a lttle uneasy with the folding ones, worried that it may fold when riding.
