I was a paid member using my VISA card. I have downsized and only use Mastercard now. TN has dumped me as a paid member. I have never dealt with this before. My credit card is good, it's a little insulting.

ThomasDec 16, 2010The problem is that Alert Pay does not accept Master Card. The problem is not with TN, but the payment processing company.

If that is the case then TN should have a problem with Alertpay. I was cut off as a paid member without any warning, notice or communication of any kind.

VicDec 17, 2010I followed suggestions by other TN members to set up Mastercard with Alert Pay, which allowed my MC card to be listed. Of course Alert charged my MC the validation fee of $1.81. I returned to TN upgrade page and tried to use AP's log-in page and then use MC as method of payment and it was rejected as it say TN doesn't accept MC. So both TN & AP don't accept MC. Since AP doesn't permit a way to load enough money into their account to pay TN upgrade fee there is no way to upgrade on-line. Not a good way to do business. Perhaps it's just not worth the effort to upgrade, I can tolerate the Ads, banners, etc., and I can tell my social nudism adventures in 5 pictures or less.

westheathenDec 17, 2010It is not just Alertpay and Truenudists that refuse to deal with maatercard, you will find it is an industry wide thing. I do not know the details, but there were security faults found within the mastercard systems, which have caused them to be dropped. The only alternatives you have is to either upgrade to a Visa account or alternatively you could try registering a debit card with AP. Or send a cheque to TN.

Thank you, I tried your suggestion. "Alert" (the name "AlertPay" is funny to me) accepts my MasterCard account but tells me that TrueNudists does not accept MasterCard. Again, I was a paid member using my VISA card but when I tried to change it I was cut off with no notice at all. That was not only rude to me as a paying customer but very insulting. Since becoming a member I have made many friends and would like to share with them. Yes, share more than 5 photos but also experiences. Many of which are shared through photos. Being suddenly cut-off even though I have a common and very valid payment method really sux.

If not for security (as far as I know Netbanx also refuse mastercard) it could be down to financial reasons. I guess that someone, somewhere has to pay charges and that would be the person receiving the cash. If mastercards charges are more than Visa charge that could explain it.

oakparkerDec 18, 2010I went through hell with Citibank Visa --- when I joined a few months ago Citibank charged me a fee and interest because they interpreted the charge code from Alert Pay to be a cash advance. Alert Pay says they bill the credit card as a charge, Citibank says the code is for a cash advance. After requesting to speak to a Citibank supervisor, they waived the cash advance fee and the interest charges --- because I'm a good and long-time customer, not because they think they made a mistake. I don't know what I'll do at 12 months. I certainly don't want to go through this hassle again. And by the way, AlertPay is based in Montreal, so it's an international toll call from the U.S. Why can't this site use PayPal??????????

Maybe the management of this site prefer to deal with an organisation that is registered and accountable. I am not sure if you have followed what has gone on at PP, but they just make up the rules as they go along and rip everyone off.

Well, PayPal would be ok too but now all I have is Mastercard to use. I have been downgraded without notice but they will not be getting any more monthly fees from me until they realize it is a lose-lose situation to not accept MC.

And then a valid VISA gift card is declined by AlertPay. This is not a good way to do business.... Maybe I will just get naked and relax.... Fuck TN and AlertPay
