Well, it would seem Skinbook may have to move anyway. Ning has decided to ban ALL nudity from its pages, including the non-sexual and non-exploitative kind.
Thank goodness for True Nudists!
(For those not in the know: Skinbook is a social network which works through a social networking service called Ning. Some time ago, Ning decided to get rid of all sites that could be considered pornographic. Nudist sites were allowed to continue as long as the nudity continued to be non-pornographic, or as they say, "non-Adult." Apparently, this was only a short reprieve.)

Cheri Donna DawsonJul 21, 2010There are a number of other Ning sites that are nudist social networks including 3 for which I am one of the moderators. One of those sites is removing all nude photos from the site. I'm not as yet sure what the other two are doing.

Skinbook has been forced off the Ning site along with others due to continuing 'pornographic and adult content' when will we learn that society in general views us with suspicion. The more sex is pushed into nudism the more we will lose our social venues be it cyber as in here or as in our beaches and legal nudist places.

mrsun57Jul 21, 2010Have to remember NING has public and private set ups. Of course open public formats will have to be safe for for kids and people who are prudes. And yes I thought at TN we aren't suppose to showing privates in a sexual thing.

Gerry-4Original PosterJul 21, 2010
Let's be honest, THIS site would be banned from NING. The number of erection pics, spread beaver pics, sexual groups...... Face it, TrueNudists isn't about nudists anymore.
I dont know about TrueNudists not being about nudists anymore, but you're bang on about the rest.ReactReply - GE

René and Jen, you're both right. Everytime we bring this up, it's like talking to a brick wall. Like when we complain of what happens in a Group, we're told it's like TV: Change the channel and don't go there anymore.

nakedColinAug 9, 2010the ban on nudity by Ning is not limited to sexual content. It is a blanket gymnophobic ban on nudity.
It does seem that a lot of people associate nudity with sex, and quite a few of those people are on this site, as well as on skinbook and many other nudist sites. Nudists get misunderstood from both directions. Prudes think we are swingers, exhibitionists and deviants. Swingers and exhibitionist think the same.ReactReply - LE
legend1959Sep 16, 2010you are absolutely right there regarding the pictures despite it being very clear about them in the rules
