Why are there so many fake profiles here? — General Discussion on True Nudists

Is anybody else here getting fed up of seeing fake profiles? You
look at the photos and you can tell they are professional photo
shoots of a real model, pictures of beautiful girls whose very slim
with huge boobs and you know it was taken from a porn site. You run
an image search of a photo of somebody on here and you find out the
picture has been used on absolutely loads of other websites, and
the most annoying for me is when you believe one is real and you
become friends with them, they are constantly sending messages for
you to view their cam show for a small fee. I really wish the
profiles could be vetted more and get rid of none genuine ones.

Seems everywhere you go on the internet today there's nothing but fake profiles..Must be the new fetish happening...

Probably so the owners can claim a huge membership of naturists when in fact there are about 40 of us.

I'm guessing around 40, as that seems to be the amount of names that keep appearing on these threads regularly.

This is a free site and it can be used as a springboard to lure people to paid sites. I don't understand the owners' thinking in keeping the site as free for everyone. The fakes are very unlikely to ever become paid members. What would the owners lose if a membership fee was required from everyone?

Disregarding the amount of fake profiles, the number of people just looking to hook up is atrocious. There's a whole sister site dedicated to this. Why do you have to invade our space?

the internet finest thing people can be anyone and you nudist need to realize you want real nude people why even be real. i can look at a random person naked body. how do u know all my info is real do u even care what my real name is (Raven) like that matters

I think everyone who joins should have to be certified as genuine before they can view other profiles. No genuine nudist should have a problem with that. I also find it irritating the number of profiles with just a few fully clothed pictures taken at home, whilst not all genuine nudists can post full body naked pics for several reasons they should at least be able to post either headless naked pictures or tasteful partly nude pictures

The fake profiles make the site look bigger than it is if they were all removed with most likely 75%+ of the females fake and the site will be worth less money if all these profiles were removed and it is turning into a photo site of nude people just for people to look at.

I'm fed up with all the non-certified "females" that are doing nothing but trolling for hits to their porn sites. I've tried blocking them but somehow they keep getting through. Frankly, I think it's sad how may guys fall for the scam.

Andre: it is very disappointing how many fake profiles there are here. As a web and marketing I understand the warren tag having bigger numbers, however since there is no advertising on this site other than for other sites on small print at the bottom owned by the same company, I don't understand the need for numbers.
My wife and I signed up and within a couple of days got certified. We felt to change the norm we had to be willing to be part of the change. Don't interact with the fake accounts. Don't friend them. When in chat the people who are publically chatting are the real ones. Start there.
Don't have to kill the fake or unused accounts. Just archive them. Still there just inactive. Keep your numbers, but the activity is more genuine.
My 2 cents.

The site owners don't seem to care and have done nothing about the fake/spam accounts as long as I've been here except when they are flagged by a bunch of people. All I can suggest is that we all use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and bury them in email asking that they delete old profiles, require something in a profile etc along the lines of various suggestions that have been made. If enough people emailed them maybe they would do something.

Why does this bother people?
I just ignore them and go about my own business.
They can't cause me any problems, injuries or money?
Why would I allow them to upset me?

One of the reasons that this bothers people is that the majority of the population do things as they were meant to be. In other words, they follow the rules. These same people also hate the law breakers and the rule breakers and it grates at them at their core. The scofflaws either don't care or maybe actually enjoy bugging others. The sad thing is that these people really don't have a real life.

All of the nudist sites I have been on have had fake profiles. The regular dating sites I have been on had fake profiles too. The fake cam girls and fake profiles happen pretty much on any site you post a picture and have a profile.

edit: as you may know, they may or not be real people anyway. Some of them are robots that are just trying to attract visitors (potential customers) to a website. Same idea as the robots that call a list of phone numbers. I had one robot call my phone three times today... and I never answered. :)

[/quote] I dont disagree with you, but they need more ways to certify. simply taking a photo with a sign does not guarantee anything. Who is to say that it isnt just a person with a blank sheet of paper with TN photoshopped in. In our case, we are real nudists. we have AANR membership cards, as well as cards to 2 clubs that we visit pretty regularly. I am sure 2 or 3 of you are going to pull my profile, so let me save you the trouble. No, we are not certified. Why? because we both work for companies with strict rules and social media monitoring. While we have taken steps to ensure TN doesn't use our photos in google searches etc... we could both lose our jobs if our bosses or co-worker see that we are also nudists. That is why we blur our faces, and why the only nude images we post are for certified users only, again with blurred faces. We still mingle with nudists and use our names when we visits out local club, but not online. If TN wants to weed out the fakes, that is fine, but give the members another way to certify besides a nude shot and a sign. When we sign up (especially those of us that pay to use the site in the hopes that everyone else realizes that we are real nudists) we have to put in real information to setup the account, and most importantly to ensure we pay our membership fee, or else the CC wont work. Why doesn't TN, allow us to certify with a driver license and a scan of an AANR membership card or something similar? just as easy to verify, and less risky to member privacey. Nudist Clubhouse use to do something like that before they were hacked. We do prefer having certified friends like the rest of you, but just because we choose not to certify, does not mean we are not legitimate nudists. it means we have valid reasons for not posting nude photos online. I am sure some of you will still object, but that is the world we seem to live in where social media can be used against you, whether it is photos or your personal ideas that are published.

Certification is not proof of being a nudist/naturist.
Certification is only proof that someone made up a name,
wrote the name on a piece of paper and
took a picture of someone, a man or a woman, holding that piece of paper.
