Wish people would read a profile before sending requests

I'm a nudist, not sure if I'm a 'True nudist' as I'm not sure what that entails. However, I have my pics set so anyone can see them. I have asked on my profile that I don't which to add anyone as a fiend until I have seen their photos and read their profile. I don't want to add you as a friend until I've seen you photo not the other way round. And as it is a nudist site it would, in my oppinion, be better to have at least one nude photo.

I agree, I always would hope that a person would have a photo of their face & some details written in on their profile!!
Atleast i can gauge the kind of person I am accepting

I do read profiles fully before accepting friendships online except if I'm previously connected in some way to the individual

We know what you mean. on our profile we say noone over 45 for us and majority we getting requesting are older. No offense to them but would rather have people around our age as to have some things in common.

Harry posted good information. I wanted to add that the site benifits of being certified is forum section that only certified users can see and some people set pics to viewable to certified only.

Totally agree. I've turned down a few requests from either blank profiles or nearly empty ones. Fill out the details folks and post pics, it's not hard!

Since you appear to be a newbie with only 4 posts, there are some items that I would like to discuss with you. In viewing your photos, we can never get a clear picture of your face. You seem attractive enough so why not show your face. When joining this site, it is more important that a person be Certified than in posting a nude picture of themselves. By signing up here we are all saying that we are nudists. Do you need a nude photo to believe what it says on the profile is true? Lastly, I believe that the defination of a True Nudist is someone who embraces the the nude life style and the wants to promote and encourage others to enjoy all of the benefits that it has to offer. Hi Desert Rat

I don't show my face as I really don't wish people who I might know that I'm a nudist. OK silly you may say but I'm sure that my emplyeers would not be at all happy. As a receptionist it maybe difficult for me if some idiot has seen me somewhere.
Also I notice that you have no face pic that one can see without becoming a friend. OK each to there own but before I add someone as a friend I like to have some idea what they are like, I'm sure you don't look like a tree! If we were friends and we had exchanged some e-mails and photos then at some stage I would show my face because I would feel that after a time hopefully a trust is found.

just do what I do - decline all friend requests. Not sure I understand the point, so I can see when they are on?

I agree with you Dee and CheriDonna - I do have my pics set to Friends only though, and I reject 90% of the friend requests I get, most are blank profiles, set to private, or not certified, I am getting pickier and pickier about who I accept any more, I'm not in a race with anyone to see who can collect the most friends...

We posted this in another thread a few days ago (the one on Blocking), but it really fits here better:

We added a code word to our profile and reference to it in several places. It would be hard to read the profile and not notice it. We state:

"NOTE: Very few on this site read profiles before sending friend requests. That makes NO sense to us. If you want us to accept your friend request, please: - Send us a message - In that message or subject include the word ###### If you don't we'll assume you're just looking to collect pictures or add names to your list."

So far its worked very well for us. When a request/message come in, we know the person has an idea who we are and what were interested in, and we get the chance to have a little interaction with them too. YMMV

I am having this same issue, i have some of my pics set to for friends only, and i think that is the only reason they want to be friends! NO they do NOT read the profile, as currently mine states, no longer accepting any friend requests, i still have a bout 120 in my box. I am not interested in having a huge "friends" list. I just want to enjoy the friends i do have.
