Three Forum posts in three hours, from a site with over 100,000 members, albeit only 2.5% of those bother to sign in more than once or twice a year. That still leaves over two thousand that are signing in, and can't be bothered to take any active part on the Forum.

I log into this site on a regular basis,
I only browse through the forums on the odd occasion or respond to many forum topics because I have no interest in what is being discussed or the vindictiveness of some of the posters.
Same goes for the main chat window, its great when good topics are discussed and anybody can chip in.
I get really browned off when the only activities is the semi private discussions or the unending variations  of greetings and goodbyes that permeates it on most occasions I have logged in.

Maybe I just pick the wrong times to log on.

Some of us are intimadated by chat, we're slow on the keyboard and or are ingnored when we do try to interact.
    But still enjoy reading forums.

I don't generally post because I have no interest in what is being discussed (penis size, breast size, shaved or not, etc).

I have started going in the chat room on rare occasion. I don't go in there much because I hate being inundated by PM's (of the trollish, pervy variety).

I find lately, that I log on less and less frequently. Truly a shame, because I enjoyed this site when I first found it. Now, not so much.
Also I think some people might be a little intimidated by some of the other long time members berating some of the newcomers to the site. Also as I normally say if you think you can do better go try and make and run your own site.
For the most part, those getting berated have earned it. They come into a nudist site with some of the most ridiculous topics that have nothing to do with nudism and risk giving other newcomers the wrong impression. What would you think if you came here uneducated but curious about nudism, and found a post about people drinking urine and bathing in it?? It isn't a matter of starting a new site, but keeping this one clean and on topic.

    danandjanette & manofwicklow.

people have the same right to express there feelings or queries, you guys also have the right to complain about them. but be broad minded about somethings its facts we speak about what actually happened or is happening, i feel it could be educational also and might benefit people see the jellyfish story, im sure people who don't know about a solution to that will read it and one day maybe when they get stung they will remember the post they read sometime ago and could help them. i say if your not hurting anyone then go ahead and talk about it, and about the newcomers im sure they have brains far bigger then peanuts and are broad minded if not then that's a waste of a brain.

Hmm ... do I detect a bit of sarcasm in the initial post?

Anyhow, I think I've posted more on this forum this week than I have in the last two years.

Sometimes I check in on the forums and just don't find any of the activity interesting.  Lately there have been issues raised that I feel something to contribute about -- with knowledge, humor, or both.

Then I look at posts and they seem ill-informed, or flaming, or (I hate to say it!) just plain stupid.  But I agree with the posting above whose author recommends just ignoring those posts and proceeding as if they weren't there.

Of course there are those posts by new nudists who are asking an honest but, perhaps, naive question ... And they get trounced by "the experts" ... Hey, folks:  very few of us were raised by enlightened nudist parents; we were all curious at one time and we all had to learn to negotiate the ropes, clothes-free-style.

Anyhow, it's fun to get back in the conversation.  Look forward to more conversation with more of you.

    Stay naked.  Post naked!

I enjoy the jokes and games threads and occasionally I just have to remark on some stupidity I see.

This is vacation time. I don't know how many have laptops vs desktops (I know some that treat their laptop like a desktop and do not move it).

This site is not friendly to smart phones and tablets. These small devices are becoming the preferred portables. The text on this site does not reflow to fix the narrow margins of the small screens.

Then there is the other thread talking about these devices being unwanted because they can take pictures. There was a movement some years ago to require a light near the active lens as a result of some picture taking in locker rooms.

For every use there is an abuse.

I don't have a problem using this site on my phone. I just prefer not to drain my battery for frivilous activities. Yes, I consider this site (and many others I frequent) to be frivilous. *shrug*
