Recently I've been bing watching Drunk History. In one episode it mentioned that Milton Bradley the game maker actually got his start making games because of Lincoln growing a beard. He was a lithographer and had been printing pictures of Abraham Lincoln and selling them when a 7 year old girl wrote to Lincoln saying he should grow a beard because women liked facial hair. So he did and Milton Bradley had to throw away all of the prints he had made of him without a beard because no one wanted them. He came up with the idea of making the board game "The Checkered Game of Life" which later became "The Game of Life". The reason all the board games he invented are the size that they are was because they fit on the lithography press.

An NHRA top fuel car (dragster or funny car) accelerates from zero to 120 MPH in about 8 tenths of a second, and continues on to over 330 MPH in another 3 seconds. During acceleration, it burns about 3 gallons of nitro methane fuel per second, giving it's 500 cubic inch V-8 engine around 10,000 horsepower and 7,400 foot-pounds of torque. After each run, the engines are completely disassembled and rebuilt for the next run. The teams are only given 75 minutes to complete the turnaround.

The Japanese didn't fire the first shot at Pearl Harbor, the US did!. A Navy destroyer (USS Ward) was patrolling just out side the entrance of the harbor and noticed a submarine on the surface that was not American. A message was sent (Stop & Identify yourself), It was a Japanese 2 man sub, that doesn't have a radio. The destroyer received no replay, so they fired a 4" deck gun and sank the sub. A short time later the plane's started the attack.
