The Italian Secret to a Long Marriage!
I am told that at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New York City , they have weekly
husband's marriage seminars.
At the session last week, the priest asked Giuseppe, who said he was
approaching his 50th wedding anniversary, to take a few minutes and share
some insight into how he had managed to stay married to the same woman
all these years.
Giuseppe replied to the assembled husbands, 'Wella, I'va tried to
treat her nicea, spenda DA money on her, but besta of all is, I tooka her
to Italy for the 25th anniversary!'
The priest responded, 'Giuseppe, you are an amazing inspiration to
all the husbands here! Please tell us what you are planning for
your wife for your 50th anniversary?'
Giuseppe proudly replied, " I gonna go pick her up."
(BTW, I am married 44 years to my high school sweetheart of 48 years)ReactReply - MEMemberJan 2, 2011
hahahah that's a good one
Thanks! That one was courtesy of my 'ITALIANO" cousin in central Fl. He has been thinking about taking his wife on a trip also....lol!ReactReply

Cheri Donna DawsonJan 2, 2011I'm looking forward to being alive that long. LOL Great to be with the perfect (well almost) for 50 years.
Marrying the person to whom I was supposed to be married to from the start.....we're only at 18 years, would be the best. I guess if I live to be 82, we'll reach our 50th. :)

DesertRatJan 2, 2011This is a true story. A few years ago we were invited by a friend, who we worked with, to his parents 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Although our friend was born here and was all American, his parents had emigrated from India. This couple had had an arranged marriage and were just children when they were married. My wife was rather shocked when she found out that she was several years older than our friend's Mother. Seeing the expression on my wife's face when she met "the bride" was priceless.

Cheri. if I could get the wife well and convinced to make the April gathering, we could tell you the stories of our destiny. Actually, we met, sort of, about the age of about 5 or 6 yrs old. I was in the top of a tree and she was worried about me falling! More possible updates to come....lol!ReactReply
