Cessna 421 "Golden Eagle", a twin engine cabin class aircraft with unique geared engines. Rather than direct drive propellers, the 421 has geared propellers to allow the engine to run at a higher RPM for better power production, but reduces the RPM through gears so the propeller remains in the effective RPM range. Props can't turn much more than 2800 RPM without loosing effective "lift" across the blade area and exceeding the speed of sound at the tip, which causes excess noise and vibration.

Cessna 425 Conquest. Basically the same airframe as the Cessna 421 but with two 450 hp Pratt & Whitney turboprop engines. It was Cessna's answer to the Beechcraft C-90 Kingair. Nice airplane, fun to fly, but I prefer the C-90 myself.

The Boss 429 Mustang (also known as the "Boss 9" by enthusiasts) is arguably one of the rarest and most valued muscle cars to date. The Boss 429 engine was derived from the Ford 385 engine. It used four-bolt mains, a forged steel crank and forged steel connecting rods. The engine featured aluminum cylinder heads, with a modified Hemi type combustion chamber which Ford called "crescent". It was composed in 1952, for any instrument or combination of instruments, and the score instructs the performer(s) not to play their instrument(s) during the entire duration of the piece throughout the three movements. The piece consists of the sounds of the environment that the listeners hear while it is performed, although it is commonly perceived as "four minutes thirty-three seconds of silence. The title of the piece refers to the total length in minutes and seconds of a given performance, 433 being the total length of the first public performance. Conceived around 194748, while the composer was working on Sonatas and Interludes, 433 became for Cage the epitome of his idea that any sounds may constitute music. It was also a reflection of the influence of Zen Buddhism, which Cage studied since the late 1940s. In a 1982 interview, and on numerous other occasions, Cage stated that 433 was, in his opinion, his most important work. The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians describes 433 as Cage's "most famous and controversial creation".
