(167) The 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard is an airlift unit that flies the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The wing has served the state and nation since the end of World War II by providing outstanding capability across a variety of missions, beginning in its earliest days when its 167th Fighter Squadron flew the F-51 Mustang and F-86 Sabre fighters. The unit has deployed to the four corners of the Earth in support of the Global War on Terrorism and continues to support this effort. The 167th's focus today, and in the future, is summed up in the unit's motto: "Mountaineer Pride Worldwide." The unit has been active in numerous exercises such as Sentry Storm, Volant Oak, Rodeos, and various overseas deployments; for example, 1981, and again in 1988, all aircraft deployed to Europe a first for any unit. In 1990, members of the Aeromedical Evacuation Flight, Mobile Aerial Port Squadron, Tactical Airlift Squadron and Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, along with support personnel from other areas were the first called to volunteer to take part in Operation Desert Shield. They did so, with many leaving on only a few hours' notice.

(173)United Airlines 173 The Need for CRMIn late December 1978, a United Airlines commercial aircraft DC-8 carrying 181 passengers and 8 crew crashed outside Portland, Oregon. 8 passengers and 2 crew members died. Although the crew did encounter a real malfunction of the aircraft, ultimately the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) investigation concluded it was the crews carelessness and inability to work together effectively that led to a preventable exhaustion of all fuel causing all 4 engines to flame out. The crews responsibility for the crash was seen as a common theme arising in several other recent (at the time) aviation mishaps- i.e. the inability for crews to work and communicate with one another effectively. Therefore, this crash directly led to multiple airline companies adopting new training for all crews beginning in 1981, which has evolved to become what aircrew know today as Crew Resource Management (CRM).

(176) The 176 WG is the largest unit of the Alaska Air National Guard. It is a composite wing meaning a wing which operates more than one type of aircraft; each having different mission objectives. From 19692011 the 176th Wing was based at Kulis Air National Guard Base, located adjacent to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and approximately 15 miles from JBER. It was recommended for relocation as part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. It now operates out of a set of new and renovated buildings on JBER in an area known colloquially as Camp Kulis.

(183) 183 day rule. What is the 183 day rule? Most countries have tax treaties between each other and in such a tax treaty is determined which country can tax what. Among those articles is the article about employment. Employment is taxed in the country where the employment is actually done. In the event the employee is send for a short period of time to another country, that would imply this employee is taxed in that other country. Moreover, for that period of time the employee is socially insured in that country. The employee however is not very keen on that situation. Being send out can be exiting, but not all employees find the tax consequences exciting. For that purpose the 183 day rule as been invented. For the 183 day rule three conditions need to be met: The employee cannot have been physically in the other country for more than 183 days during a twelve month period. In some countries this is equal to the calendar year in some countries like the United Kingdom it is twelve months equal to the tax year which is not the calendar year. The employee is not considered being an employee of the other company in the other country The employer sending out the employee does not have a permanent establishment in that other country. Number 2 and 3 conditions are nearly never taken into account, but those conditions make that the 183 day rule nearly never can be applied.

Ehang will have its own control centers to track and manage the AAVs in flight. The companys already built its first control center in China, which has granted permission for these drones to fly there. Ehang hopes to sell the AAV or offer it as a service, like a flying Uber.

The Kepler-186system is a stellar system, at least five planets, located 500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. The five planets of Kepler-186 are orbiting a red dwarf star (spectral type M), a less massive star (0.48 solar mass) and less warm (3500 K, 5778 K for the Sun) the Sun, size and mass 0.5 relative to the Sun. Red dwarfs are by far the most numerous stars in the universe, 70% of the stars in the Milky Way are red dwarfs and can shine for hundreds of billions of years. In April 2014, using the Kepler space telescope of NASA, a team of astronomers has discovered the first exoterre (size of the Earth) in the habitable zone of the star Kepler-186. The discovery of the exoplanet Kepler-186F confirms that planets the size of Earth exist in the habitable zone of stars other than our Sun. This is not the first planet discovered in a habitable zone of a star, Dec. 6, 2011, NASA confirmed the discovery of Kepler-22b (2.4 R) the first planet in the "habitable zone" its star. However, the exoplanet Kepler-186F has a size comparable to that of the Earth (1.11 R) unfortunately we do not know its mass, depending on its composition (water, iron silicate). The discovery of Kepler-186F is an important step towards the search for worlds like our Earth planet , said Paul Hertz, director of the Astrophysics Division of NASA. Will have to wait 2018, with the JWST telescope, to know the chemical composition of Kepler-186F and its possible atmosphere. "When we look for life outside our solar system, we focus on the search for planets with characteristics similar to that of the Earth," said Elisa Quintana, researcher (SETI Institute / NASA Ames Research Center) and author main article published April 17, 2014 in the journal Science. Kepler-186F which orbits its star in 130 days, is located near the outer edge of the habitable zone (see picture). This does not give us the average temperature of its surface, it depends on the atmosphere that we not yet know. The four other planets of Kepler-186, Kepler-186b, Kepler-186c, Kepler-186d and Kepler-186e revolve around their sun, all respectively 4, 7, 13, and 22 days. So close to their star, they are certainly too hot to keep water in the liquid state. The 5 inner planets of this system are all smaller than 1.4 times the size of Earth. This major discovery is only the beginning of a long series of discoveries that all we will marvel as the Kepler space telescope simultaneously and continuously measure the brightness of over 150,000 stars.
