  Crane Beach in Ipswich used to (util early 1990's I'd say)  have a tradition of "tolerating" nudity as long as you were discrete and kept far down the beach from the parking lot area where 99% of beach goers congregate.  The huge dunes were a popular nude area.  More recently (due, rumor has it to fear of pervs having sex in the open) they have become less tolerant but the beach is so large (3+ miles long and very wide at low tide, with massive dunes stretching back beyond the oceanfront) that one can still find isolated sections to go nude freely with minimal chance of being botherd by The Man, who patrols on a small ATV.  I go 3-4 times a year.  Best time to go is midweek and outside peak summer season, May/early June and Sept/early Oct.
  
  This beach would be the PERFECT MA location for a fully legal c/o beach!!  We should start a movement...Occupy Crane's anyone?
