The Purge/Nude for a day — Legal Issues on True Nudists

My wife and I recently watched the movie "The Purge". The purge is a 12 hour period once a year where all crime is legalized. The idea is that if people can release their violence one day a year, the rest of the year crime is nearly non-existent.
I got to thinking, what if public nudity was legal everywhere one day per year? Would you participate? Where would you go? What would you do?

I hope medical personnel will be allowed to wear scrubs while performing surgery.

Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm gardening, I'd probably wear sneakers,gloves, and a sun hat.

It should be obvious that Post #2 was written tongue-in-cheek

to illustrate how government can impose standards of morality upon the public.

Reading between the lines, â€œThe Decreeâ€, for one day, places the same

restrictions on textiles as it does, everyday, upon nudists. It was never suggested that the

unwilling would be stripped naked, only that if they wore clothing, they would

have to remain indoors, or in private areas where they could not be seen by the

public. Is this not the same restriction that nudists now face?

On a serious note: I have long believed that if

all beaches were opened to nude swimming and sunbathing, it would soon become

so commonplace, as to lose all shock value. Fifty years ago, a bikini bathing

suit was shocking. Is anyone shocked, today?

Post # 1 asked a simple question. Would you participate?

Post # 2 is typical government involvement into something they have no business getting into. Typically the government sets a rule for everyone to follow then they find that one size does not fit all. Then comes the list of exemptions. With the possibility of exemptions we need to have abureaucracy to over see the exemptions and decide which exemptions will be allowed and which ones won't. A new bureaucracy requires a director, a budget, timekeepers, payroll clerks, personnel department, a building to operate out of, telephones, computers, enforcement staff, etc., etc., etc.

All this so a few people can get naked. Let's keep it simple; keep nudity private. Rely on private nudist resorts and our own homes and keep the government out of it. Oh, how I wish the government would ignore us entirely.

In answer to what his thread was supposed to be about, I would go about my normal daily routine except I would be nude.During the week, that would mean going to work, picking up merchandise from vendors, possibly going to the store, etc.If it was on the weekend, I would take the dog for a walk, ride my bike, probably go to the beach.

Fully agree with your comments AndyDi, we need more fun without the stoic police mentality that exist on here.
As for me when can we have our first reverse day and make 24 hours, best make it summertime though, might not have many takers in winter.
I really love the idea of textiles being treated as we nudist are, but maybe not much shopping would be able to be done

I'd probably do my normal activities while nude if we had a purge style nude day. Only possible problem is working in a machine shop. I'd actually prefer a nude week:)
