    How old are you? If you are under 30, Vita Nuda Mid-Atlantic might be a good place to start out.

    There are a couple of nonlanded clubs as well as parks that would be a good place to meet people.  There is also Avalon @ 2hr. from DC, good food, nice accommodations.  They even have an indoor pool and hot tub if it should be too cold or too hot outdoors.
