New here and just leary of posting pictures on the internet anywhere. I'm I just being insecure about this? When I look at my own pic I think I look like an old perv. Hmmm this is almost scary.

I am leary of posting a picture also.
Don't really want my nude body on the internet in any way.

Another alternative is to post nude pics, but with your face cropped out. You can also tailor your profile a bit by not fully disclosing your location. For instance, don't enter a town name but enter your state.

Put up the same kind of picture you would put on Facebook.

I did feel uncomfortable with it for awhile, but finally decided it'd be passable to only post those of myself that are not posed, working pictures, and not closeup. Nothing that could possibly be construed as sexually suggestive in the least. the last thing I want is someone taking it for porn.

Just remember that once you post a picture to TN, it is apparently here forever. Deleting it only deletes the link from your profile to the media server. The photo remains on the media server. Also, the security on TN is questionable at best. "Certified Only" really means everyone. There is NO security on the media server via HTML.

I am also leary since any picture can wind up in unexpected places.
Naturists can be their own worst enemy worrying about perceived consequences. Often fearing that their jobs could be at risk, often they are teachers doctors child minders etc. None of which is an issue many life long naturists are Police, members of child protection, judges etc. Even Winston Churchill was a naturist.
The consequences are real. People have lost their jobs or did not get a job because of something they posted on Facebook or Twitter. Yes their are nudist in every part of society but everyone doesnt share our views of nudity, laws have been written against it and people are the sex offender registry for having to pea in the bushes. I am self employed and am far along enough in years not to have to worry too much unless I am bidding on a government contract or running for public office I dont think anyone would be looking for me here. My wife on the other hand works with kids and this could be a problem for her. I do however think that since this is a nudist site, you should only be here if you are willing to share your lifestyle with everyone else here.

I wanted to say thank you for all your inputs. It seems to me there is no straight up right answer. Where you live, the job you have, the people you interact with all comes to play. Yes I agree we should be proud of who we are but does that mean we should broadcast it or can we be humble and enjoy it? Again thank you for your inputs not ready to put the nude pic on line yet.

There is way more to a person than what is shown by a picture, although some pictures can show much about the persons personality. Personally, I am comfortable sharing with the naturist population on this site, problem is, who is real and who isn't? Also there is NO security on the internet, not really. Those of us in the US and involved with youth must be very careful of perceptions, and the public at large does not yet comprehend the simple joy of just being nude. Hopefully that can change, but its going to be slow going. So pictures for now will be very " generic" and try to show more spirit than "details".

I have face pix and nude pix but nothing together and that feels to me should the pix get out of this community. Good luck upping your comfort most of all with yourself! Don't accept society's bias that aging man=perv. Try aging man=manifested wisdom instead.

I also found this interesting.
Since I'm not a nudist yet I don't feel comfortable posting a photo of me naked with my face.

Is it ok to post a photo with my face painted over using an image processing application like photoshop?

Is my profile photo even ok? The photo I uploaded for it is still waiting for approval so I don't know if you can see it as my profile photo.
I see it as my profile photo on posts I've made but I don't know if others do.
