Greetings from colorful Colorado. I am new to social nudism and have not tried it yet, but I am a home nudist and have done a few nude hikes alone. I've been researching social nudism and stumbled on this site and so far I love it. I will have to see about some photos soon.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 15, 2011Wirral, I wish I could do the same, I have never been out of the US. I must admit, I love Colorado so much it is hard to leave. Most of my holidays are spent in various Colorado locations, especially the mountains, and being a pro photographer, there is never a lack of photogenic opportunities. Anyway, thanks for the welcomes.

JackNeilsonJun 15, 2011A warm welcome from Canada. I have friends who live in Arvada and I love Colorado. I find the people there very friendly, outgoing and helpful.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 15, 2011Wow, certified already, that was quick - nice. Wirral, if you end up in my neck of the woods I'd be glad to have you over.
Thanks for the spousal advice. I don't think she is interested in joining the forum though, I'm still trying to gently introduce her to the freedom of nudism.ReactReply - DI
DigitalD2Jun 15, 2011Hi Dave, like you I am also a newbie from Colorado. I keep hoping to find other people here in Colorado that have the same interest in being a nudist like I do. I have found a group that meets the frist Saturday of the month for a potluck/Swim that I have been to a couple of times, if you want more information on that group let me know and I will send it your direction. Your wife might enjoy going to that swim because the group that goes there is very friendly and supportive. You can see if she is willing to go for just a tour of the place and if she wants to stay then its a bonus, if not, then you have tried.
I hope to hear from you

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 16, 2011Thanks for the info. I have heard about the RMNudists and checked out the site. I might have to try them the first time or maybe Mountain Aire or whatever its called. I'll have to message you for more info when I have a little more time on my hands.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 16, 2011A land far far away eh? Your name wouldn't happen to be "Darth Vader" or "Skywalker" would it? Lol, just kidding. Thank you for the Belgium hello.
I wish it was easier to post with my IPhone. I have to type my message in notepad and copy/paste it into the dialog box, kind of a pain.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 16, 2011Hay jasonbb, u got some nice scooters in your profile. It's nice to see some more biker folk on here other than myself. I'll have to get a pic of my scooter on my profile.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 16, 2011Oh right on. My current scoot is an Intruder 800, the older version of the C50 (a '96) but basically the same thing.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 21, 2011I might have finally made a little headway in breaking the ice with my wife on visiting a social nudist event.
When I got home from work the other day and getting the kids to bed, when I got to our bedroom I said i couldn't wait to get my clothes off because they were just feeling uncomfortable. I have skin allergies mainly detergents and dyes which make clothes very itchy. Anyway after I disrobed (took about 2.5 seconds) she joked that I'll probably want to move to a nudist colony! HAHA! I told her "I wish". I told her I would love to live life clothes free. I then brought up my thinking about attending a social nudist event and she asked me "you could do that?", as in be nude with other people. I told her sure I could and it looks like fun to me. She said she didn't think she could do that, but I'm happy the cat is finally out of the bag. I think with a little persuasion and maybe meeting with some of these directors of these clubs, I hope I can get her to at least visit one and check it out with me.
I've been wondering how to talk to her about this but instead of me bringing it up awkwardly, she brought it to me.Wishing I was nude right now (but can't be)

In case you didn't see this that I posted on another thread, check out this group and threads for stuff to help you get the wife on board :) Married but spouse not intohttp://www.truenudists.com/group/245/http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=14677&post=93932http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=9518&post=63827http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=107&post=73654You will find a lot of advise there, the main thing seems to be to take your time. Don't push, it is better to make her curious, or you may push her away. Look for Cheri's comment.ReactReply - CO
coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 22, 2011Thanks Phil, I'll have to check those links out. I also found out that the nearest club (Rocky Mtn Naturists) is clothing optional and not just nude and I think my wife will go if she has that option. I hope once she meets some of the members and sees they are normal people of various shapes and sizes, she will eventually join in. But at least now she knows I am interested in social nudism and not just walking around the house nude.

How about contacting the nonlanded Colorado clubs and ask if there's a couple or woman who could meet y'all at a dinner or such over a cup of coffee so your wife can find out that nudists are just regular people, just more comfortable after a large meal.ReactReply - CO
coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 22, 2011Thanks nudedude, so far this has been a nice site. Very friendly and not too creepy, I'm glad I stumbled on it.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 22, 2011And Cheri, I just sent an email about an hour ago to the head of the Rocky Mountain Naturists, they are a non landed C/O club near Denver. I think this club would be the best place to start in my area and since it's C/O it takes a lot of pressure off my wife to disrobe. I want her to decide when, if ever, to decide she is comfortable enough to be nude. I love her to death and really want her with me at nudist events, but I won't put any pressure on her. I keep reading 'baby steps', so I guess I'll just have to be patient and drown her in love Lol

DesertRatJun 22, 2011Dave, Buy your wife one of those sarong type cover ups for the beach. Many women wrap themselves in these at nudist gatherings. Depending how the mood strikes them they may wear it high tied at the chest, low tied at the waist or not at all when entering the pool. Yes they are nude but also modest. Nudism in not about making people feel unconfortable. Nudism really makes people feel totally comfortable.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 22, 2011Hm...the sarong is a good idea, thanks for the tip.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 27, 2011Making small amount of progress with my wife. Been getting her to strip off the nightgown and sleep nude. A small step, but a step nonetheless.
Still waiting to hear from the RMN people. I'm kinda wondering if the contact email is still in use.Dave

MikeJun 27, 2011Dave,
Welcome to the site. Another option is coming up in early July. The weekend of the 9th and 10th is National Nude Weekend. The non-landed clubs and most likely the landed club, Mountain Air Ranch, near Denver, will be holding some event that weekend. We will actually be at Mountain Air during that period.

coloradodaveOriginal PosterJun 27, 2011Thanks for the info M&N, would love to do something like that, but (there's that crappy BUT word again) I think MAR is nude only not C/O, and I think we'll have to try C/O for our first time. The wife is still reluctant, but I hope once she gets to experience it firsthand and see what it's all about she will feel more comfortable with it. It will also be my first social nudist experience, so I think a smaller crowd would be more comfortable for both of us. Anyway, hope the weather is nice for you that weekend and don't forget the sunscreen, it's been hot lately.
