Problem with the titles

I am new on the site (only been a week) and have done some exploring. I have looked through the forums and one thing has stood out to me, after every name there was a title (textile, barefoot, topless, etc..). It took me a little while to figure out that these were based on how many friends a person has. I kind of have a problem with this. It seams the more friends you get the less likely you are to stay in touch with the friends you already have. I don't think people should be rewarded with a title for doing this, they should be rewarded based on friends feedback or how long you have been a nudist or even a certification status (its easy to do).  I don't mean to be judgemental (The title Supernude does seam nice). I just think you will have more fun with 80 friends that you actually talk too other than to be cluttered with 900 you don't.Of course I could be missing the point.
