I have been an at home nudist for years with a reluctant spouse. Normally being a very private person, I could care less if anyone else saw me nude or not. My problem is that I enjoy being outside nude so much that I have thought about visiting our local resort which is ten minutes away but, since my understanding wife would not agree at this time to go with me, I would have to be an AANR member to visit. Since I am not sure I would be comforable in the social enviorment and with my wife being reluctant, I can't see joining at this time. I have hoped to somehow find a local member online that I could go to visit as thier guest online but, have had no luck yet, Maybe someday--Sunshower country club.........

gator1Jan 9, 2009I am fortunate that my still reluctant wife WILL accompany me, although she won't yet undress. She really liked the great folks we met at Lone Star Resort in Texas, and happily would sit amongst and visit while everyone around her was nude. It was fun, but really an interesting situation.

Sunshower is a great resort. You should use it as much as you can if it is close. I drove 4 hours to be there.
Go to sunshower, look for Sheri, if she is still there. Ask some of the people for advise. I bet that they would be willing to let her come clothed. If this is something you really want to do then follow your heart. Tell your wife that it is in your heart and re-assure her you are concerned for her. I bet there is a halfway that you both can live with. It takes women a lot more time to acclimate to a nudist environment than men and most women only do so for their man. Which is a huge testament to the resolve and love of women. Take it slow, but try to convey how important it is to you.

wvdad2k@yahoo.comJan 10, 2009i think this is a problem man of us with a non nudist spouse. on our first visit i made sure i chos clothing optional. this way we both could enjoy our stay. after four years of me visiting nudist lodges, she still is not wanting to join in. i attend with others we havmade friends with. we also enjoy nude visits in the home from or friends we have made. i have it lucky as she never denied my being nude or guests being nude. hang in there.

She has told me if I go there not to come back. Guess with her, understanding doesn't work both ways. She picked up the reluctant spouse brochure and read about 2 lines then through it away. Everyone has told me to take baby steps and she will eventually come around, but I at this time don't really see that happening. Don't know what else to do.

I thought for you chaps, I would write this quick rhyme,
To help her to see, that it IS not a crime.
Perhaps she will stay, to read a short verse,
Before the chance goes, in that ride in the hearse.
Ours is a short journey, too soon it will end,
