Out going group who makes visitors feel extremely welcome. Saturday night dance included about 15 couples and serval singles. Everyone when out of their way to speak to me and include me their activities. Are all Texas resorts as inviting?

BudNov 21, 2010WE went to Star Ranch about 15 years ago and it was a pretty nice place then... They did, however ask my hubby and me to stand around by the entrance when they ere givving tours to prospective members, to make it appear there was "young-hip" people there..
We enjoyed the riverside one near San Antonio as well. So all we can tell you is that the resorts we have been to in TX have been quite alright.ReactReply - CD

It's a shame west TX doesn't have anything including a nonlanded club. I would not recommend Riverside as it has gone over to the "dark side." Original owners Mary and Joe Nash are probably turning over in their graves.ReactReply - EA
EarthGoddessCarlaMar 8, 2011I did not pass their credit check to become a member, but I loved how it was set up with the indoor and outdoor pools........ it is kinda run down......... but over all I enjoyed it till my yucky credit score did not allow me to come back. I really believe it was more about my being an EX porn producer than the credit score thingy. I am looking for a place besides Hippie Hollow to get my group together. I run the Austing Nudist Meet-up........ love HH but we want another place to visit too

bknb1126Jul 24, 2011We've been to Star Ranch a couple of times in the last year. They are always very friendly and welcoming.
Twice when we've been there they have had different activities on the weekends and always have the Nekkid Cafe open for meals.
The pool is nice, as is the club house. They have many campsites with electric, water and sewage, tentsites, and they also have a handful of cabins available for anyone not interested in camping (altho I don't know what the cabins are like).
Overall, we really like Star Ranch and plan on returning. Highly recommended!ReactReply - BN
