We put ourselves at an unfair and totally unnecessary disadvantage, and marginalize ourselves, when we use self-defeating terms and rhetoric. Everyone on Earth gets nude at some point at least briefly (if only in a private bathroom, bedroom or dark CLOSET); so, the appropriate/accurate term for them is CLOSET NUDISTS which switches the scales in our favor. We can have more cogent compelling conversations when we dont use fallacious polarizing terms like TEXTILES when even the most avid nudist will seek cover with too much brutal hot sun exposure or cover up in some way in inclement weather (freezing cold, hail, sandstorms, cold deep-sea diving) if only for safety.

StevieLornaNov 18, 2020Textile is simply a word naturist use to describe a non- naturist.
Its not a derogatory term unless the person using the word (like any other word) intends it to be.

PhilipNov 18, 2020Steve, textile is indeed a descriptive term only, I also agree with you on the subject of truth and friends.
