Insensitive moderators in the chatI simply asked if there are any gay men in the chat and was banned. It is not illegal to be gay. If my preference is to chat with other gay, male nudists, then why should I be banned? If I was a mechanic and wanted to chat with other mechanics would I get banned?I feel discriminated against. I happen to be a gay male looking to chat with others in the gay community. Is this breaking the rules?

It is clear that there are lots of creeps and trolls and that sex is most definitely the motive of those. However, just being gay is not a reason to be assumed a troll. In my view (respectfully submitted), a gay man asking if there are any other gay men online is simply a matter of looking for other human beings with similar background and interest. I completely understand that it "could" be unwelcome participation here but unless there was other reasons, it should not be considered a reason to boot. I agree, if this person is repeatedly asking or has a history or any other good reasons to want to curtail their participation, then by all means, boot.
Personally, I find the pictures on the landing page much less "naturist" than someone seeking a person that they prefer to get acquainted. The landing page also promotes "See 10,000 pictures of Nudists." What exactly are we promoting? I understand it is a business and revenues are needed to make this worthwhile and sustainable but it is hypocritical just a little to promote "seeing pictures" and then boot someone simply for being gay.
Finally, benefit of the doubt and common courtesy is always proper. By that I mean there must be more evidence/behavior before we assume the worst. A simple PM to the offender is an appropriate first step.
So thanks again. Let's all be nice and accept one another. We're nude after all.

I haven't been banned but seemingly my camera wasn't catching my whole face, I must have moved in the chair or something. I didn't actually have my screen up showing what others could see so wasn't aware of this. Anyway, I get a really abrupt message: 'Face on cam' - I got my screen up and noticed it was only showing from my chin down so I adjusted it. Only to get another message straight away: 'Read the rules'Now, I'm not complaining that I should be able to go on these chat rooms and not show my face - look at my pics - loads of them with face clearly showing - but it's the obnoxious schoolmaster way these moderators obviously act! Had a message came up saying: 'Face on cam please' and left it at that then OK but the condescending follow up message was completely uncalled for. It is true what they say: give a man a position or a uniform and watch him turn into a dictator! Reading this forum I can understand why people would get upset and angry. I certainly am not going to bother going back into the chat rooms - it's not really a thing that interests me anyway but a friend had said he was in it and to join in - never again!

[/quote]Is trying to get to know someone and get a date a bad thing on this site? This is the largest nudist SOCIAL NETWORK site in the world. Launched in 2007, TN has helped 1000's of nudists meet and socialize. I would think this would be a great place to find a date.

I have a question, when a " gay" person walks in to a bar, or nightclub, or any other social place, do they open the door and shout, " I"m gay and only want to talk to other gays".....is that how it's done?

NO you say? that would be rude and crude? That isn't the proper way to behave in a social place?

Does a "gay" person's yahoo messenger name always include "gay" in their name?

How about Skype, is it normal for them to place Gay in their skype name?

There are many "Gay" people in the room, men and women. Most are very well liked by the members of the site that "use" the chat room.

They most know who the Gay users are, it has been mentioned in conversations, and no one cares on way of the other.

The people who come in and the only thing they say in the room is " Gay", they aren't looking to chat with nudists, they are only looking

for Gay users. How often do you think the very same ones who do that here go in to a gay chat room and only say " nudists"

Would they be told "wrong room" ?

[/quote]No....they wouldn't be told wrong room. I don't spend much time in chat anymore, but I do remember members coming into chat and looking for specific chats, like, single dads and couples. A Scandinavian group would come in at the same time and chat in their native language in the main room. Nobody seemed to have cared. I really don't see what the issue is, unless it's overly repetitive. It seems that some moderators are enforcing rules that don't exist.

just been booted from chat. I don't like showing my face on screen as, in the past, i have been recognised. Rusty55, obviously gay insisted on seeing my face & took the pip when i wouldn't show. I know the rules say to show face but i'm not going to be a member of a site which allows pedantic & petulant people decide what & what not i can do. Especially when they aren't moderators. I realise that this will evoke no response from the administrators of the site and that will be to the detriment of an otherwise excellent site. I shall enjoy my naturism elsewhere.

Okay you admit that you know the rules say to show face, you broke the rules and you're ticked off and resorting to name calling on a Mod because you got kicked? I am missing the logic here......

I got booted for raising the issue of a supposed female who was harassing me for having nude photos taken in the mirror. I didn't identify the user name of the woman though I could have. I noted it was a laugh that a woman with no nude photos and who was not certified was claiming I am a fake though I am certified. I noted most of the time when people do that they are men posting as women. I pointed out to "her" that many resorts don't allow photos to be taken so expecting photos at resorts is nonsense. "She" trashed home nudists saying home nudists are not real nudists. The male half of a non-certified couple took issue (most likely because he is a fake as well) then attacked me for daring to point out the hypocrisy then moderator tony something booted me. It is a riot being booted for pointing out how stupid the attacks were against home nudists and people without photos at a resort by someone who is non-certified without such photos.

[/quote]I was banned from the chat room last night, since I have asked if someone like to private chat. I don't like to chat in main room, sometimes it doesn't make any sense and I can't follow any conversation. Someone (quiet rudely) asked me to update my profile before asking to private chat and at my answer "I prefer to manage my profile the way I want it to be...' I was banned. no reason! This is rude, unfair and patronising.
