REPORTING SPAM AND BUMPING THE OFFENDING THREAD FROM THE HOME PAGE.Posting complaints to spam threads, only serves to keep them on the top of the home page list of recently active posts, thus giving them maximum exposure, so please try to refrain from doing so, and instead, vent your anger on this thread (You will find it on the "Rules for posting in here" forum, top of the main forums list.) by posting a Spam Alert here. It will serve as a flag report, (that others can simply copy and paste into their own report) and this thread will also become one of your bumper threads. Suggested Format Example: (Must include the offending threads url) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reason: Spamming forums.http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=20876http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=20711&page=2----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After you have made your post on this thread, using the above format, simply copy and paste it into the flag report field on the offenders profile. Where possible, it is better to bump the recent posts that are below the spam thread, keeping them in view, but to do the job properly, you need to note which forum the spam is posted on, and then make sure that at least one of the posts that you use as a bumper, is from the same forum. That way, you will not only bump it off the home page, but also burry it in it's own forum, so that it does not retain exposure on the main forum list either. If you consider the attack to be very serious, i.e. extremely offensive and distasteful material, send an email report toabuse@truenudists.combtw, if a thread url takes you back to the forums list, it is because that thread has been deleted by admin. If you have the time, before you start bumping, you could post the following notice to the spam thread, in the hope that it will stop others from posting on it, thus keeping it at the top of the home page. If you click on the quote button here, and then copy ONLY the notice, from the text box, but do NOT click send, you can then paste this notice directly to the spam thread, without any problems from the html code . As much as encouraging members to "flag on mas" (presumably increasing the admin's workload) goes -against- my idea of common sense, the fact that admin have recently been slow to act in cases that are known to have been flagged several times, leads me to one of two conclusions. Either admin is overloaded, or there is in fact, an automated system in place, that only activates after a profile has received a given number of reports. So until we hear otherwise, I feel that we have no other option, other than to continue to highlight these offences, in an effort to generate enough reports, to effect the required action from either admin, or the system. A note from TT to clarify this would be very much appreciated. Phil.

I think its good? I know that we want to eliminate not just the spam but the spammers also, but I'm not sure that I understand everything that you are saying. Any how, I commend you for your effort and appreciate what you are attempting to do.
