  I participated in the WNBR in Boston in 2018 and must tell you that I had the time of my life. It was so much fun riding through all parts of the city completely nude. I would do it again in a heartbeat and urge all that are not too shy to find one and just do it

  I would actually love to. I would do it in a locale that legally allows it or at least has law enforcement that explicitly allows the event. As I know there are some cities where there is a real risk of being arrested despite the precautions taken.

  The main thing stopping me at this point would be the hoards of creepy dudes showing up with cameras. I'm guessing most are harmless, but I'm certain some of the photos wind up on porn-sites. And that gives the world the wrong impression of naturism.

  I feel the same way about Bay-To-Breakers, would love to run it nude.

There was one in Philadelphia for several years in a row, except 2020 when I believe most if not all of them were cancelled. Close enough for you to do in a day trip. From what I have read, the is no law enforcement issues befoe or during the event, but you do need to have clothing for the after party and/or trip back to the start.

Still might want to head further from home to avoid running into someone I know when I am nude and they are not.

  I participated in the WNBR/WALK in Montpelier Vermont in 2025 and plan on doing so again in 2026. Rode my new specialized diverge str all up and down city blocks and streets stopping for a photo op on the steps of the state capitol building. Photos from the event are posted on my profile. also participated in world nude hiking day on the summer solstice every year, naked gardening day and international skinny dip day. Attending events it seems is the only way for a single, straight male to meet others in the lifestyle as there are far too many claiming to be nudists but never leave the home EVER! resorts and campgrounds cater to couples, not singles in my experience.

  Fear of saddle sores and chafed thighs. I used to ride my bike in very short lightweight running shorts frequently and speeds occasionally. I switched to padded bike shorts because of the chafing and saddle sores. I suspect riding nude would be even worse.

  i rode nude for a few hours on my bike in Vermont for the WNBR/WALK last june without any chafing/sore problems. when i must be clothed i wear PEARL IZUMI PRO bike shorts with chamois for the prostate built in and i have never had sores or chafing wearing these, or the ones by GOREWEAR. if you buy the cheap onethey work but dont get much distance out of them before the sores/chafing starts. $180 bucks for the Pearl Izumi Pro shorts, pricey, but well worth it if you ride 30-50 miles each time out on trails like i do. Now i will say, whether clothed or nude i do get chafing on my inner thighs when hiking and i recently have purchased a product from REI that works really well called Squirrels nut butter, and i apply and go and it really works well. i am sure bag balm, or other such products out there will do the same for chafing, cycling or hiking. i too was worried about it at last years event. but in reality, me, and quite a few others forgot sunscreen, and i paid the price as i get sun poisoning easily if stationary in the sun too long. As for cycling nude that day, i was fine. also i buy high end bike seats as the ones that come stock on bikes nowadays are not very padded, rather flimsy. its all about personal preference, everyone is different. and you ALWAYS get what you pay for. Selle is an Italian company that specializes in bike seats. i usually need to pay between $75-$100 for a good one.

I have minimal problems when riding with standard padded bike shorts or hiking with shorts with a 5" inseam. The nut butter may help when wearing less or nothing.

  I have wanted to do the Madison ride for many years but just have not for a number of reasons. I have dared to ride nude a few times, but it is taking a chance that I probably should not have.
  1. I have thought that a five-hour drive to get to the ride when the purpose of the ride was to protest the amount of fossil fuels being used. The hybrid I had at the time was better than most vehicles but still used gasoline.
  2. Temperatures in the upper 80's and 90's are just too hot for my comfort even though the cooling effect while riding can be fairly comfortable at those temps. It is still hot when stopped.
  3. Scheduling conflicts for that weekend kept me off of half the rides.
  4. Money in short supply has been a factor too.

  I'd still like to do the ride if it was held closer to home.

I'd still like to do the ride if it was held closer to home.[/quote] Someone else on this site said that Madison Milwaukee and Chicago are sometimes scheduled so that all three can be done in the same weekend. This makes it easier to justify using the fuel, but increases the cost. He also mentioned that there's a nude resort near Madison where he stayed.

  I have similar great memories of going on WNBRs. The joy of being able to ride completely naked and unashamed around places where you'd risk a quick arrest for being naked on other days is amazing. Being nude in cities felt very liberating and I count riding on WNBRs as being one of the significant steps in becoming 'out' as a nudist. We're likely to be photographed and posted online while cycling nude, so there is no denying that we rode naked (AI fakes etc excepted).
