SteveDec 26, 2014Perhaps in part because the forums and the profile basics are not behind a password wall - so anybody Google-ing "Hector nudist" will get Hector's profile and forum posts. I use my first name in my profile name because I have nothing to hide, but a lot of folks do lead divided lives, and try to keep the parts separate. Also, a large proportion of folks on the site are not really committed to nudism at all, seeing it as something risque or illicit, and are kinda slumming here. And I suppose a few are fearful that a crazed internet fan will somehow look them up and knock their front door down with the butt of an Uzi.ReactReply - RS
ruhl straleyOriginal PosterDec 26, 2014- You do realize that divulging too much info on the internet scares many people ... don't you? It's their choice to make on how much info they want to share and are comfortable with. Most internet conversation, communication and discussion, on websites, message boards, blogs ... involves the use of "handles." In some cases, one partner or the either is not comfortable with their names out there, their images and many have valid reasons. We shouldn't judge people because they don't use the real names, give us all the information about them we request or post pictures of themselves clothed or naked. It shouldn't matter if they are "certified" or not.
I've made many friends here with "handles." After we've communicated a bit, they will respond to messages or emails using their real names and that works between us and them. I've also become friends with many who are here and have no nude pictures of themselves but I'm certain they are nudists because of the conversations we've had.
Nudists complain constantly about being judged ... but I find that the nudist is judged most by ... other nudists.
.............agree, I also have many friends here and after awhile their names show on messages, but won't bill, jane, emma or the like even if it isn't their name be better than some on here lol. and Ruhl is my first name

Bill BowserDec 26, 2014I believe that many people on public forums want to remain anonymous so that they don't have to accept any responsibility for what they say. They can act stupid with impunity.

KeithDec 27, 2014
I believe that many people on public forums want to remain anonymous so that they don't have to accept any responsibility for what they say. They can act stupid with impunity.
That maybe true in many cases Bill but my handle was to give other members a quick idea of my location,'the only part I left out was the word " in " ie. Ausmaninvic, many that would stop some calling me Vic.
As for using my real name I do have in my profile and I use it when messaging friends on here.
But to each their own . I really don't trust the internet as there are too many not nice people on it.ReactReply - HA

SteveDec 29, 2014Each side of this island has its own discussion forum. Konaweb's policy is first-name-&-initial as a handle. Punaweb's custom is "handles". There's no real question of anonymity here - the place is small enough that ya can kinda figure who is who. I'm sure population and moderation differences have something to do with it, but I do believe the name / handle policy helps set the style: Konaweb is utterly civil; Punaweb has its share of trolls.ReactReply - ST

shortsboiJan 27, 2015I don't know how I got to this old post but I suspect quite a few people registered with 'handles' like me because of being a little wary of what the site would be like. Actually mine is a nickname several mates would recognise me by. I think its better to do that than set your profile to private? Whenever I post, chances are I'll sign it Stu and once someone gets to know me they get the full personal info - email, Skype, phone etcReactReply - T=
Just google hun. I use "TSJodiee" But, somehow, a site on google mentions im TS and lists my name so from there things started appearing in the search ranks. doesnt bother me, i just wouldnt want people seeing sites i use for my own personal needs lol
Why does the fact that you are TS prevent you from using your first name without mentioning you are TS. If you do not want anyone knowing you are TS don't use it in your username.ReactReply - NO

MikeFeb 14, 2015WHY?????? actually I will give you OUR reason......Our main purpose here is to tell people WHO we are, so our first names woldnt really accomplish that..We hae our real names in our profile for anyone to see but we chose a "screenname" to better identify ourselves to everyone. our screen name gives a open door for people to ASK US about why we chose the name and what ANFA is. it gives us a good opportunity to share ourselves to new friends or potential new friends.ReactReply
