Who here have partners who arent/wernt into nudism? Im in this situation and my girlfriends is reluctant. We went to a nudist beach together but she remained clothed while I was nude. She was uncomfortable and I think she feels nudists are creeps. Any advice to help her understand and maybe participate? I dont want to push her into it.

Hello my wife was the same way i would go nude she would wear her bikini and as she got more comfortable being around others she slowly removed her top and would go that way and finaly go nude. now we are both nudist together and have been to many resorts and nude beaches and also two nude cruises. biggest thing is to not push her into it she will do it on her own.

My wife won't even go because she doesn't want to see anyone except me nude.

Birds of the same feather flock together, as the saying goes. That's why I think other women your gf's age/demographics have the best chance of helping her feel more comfortable in her own naked skin. I'd look into resorts or activities focusing on your age group. I'm not familiar with nudism in Scotland, but if it attracts primarily pensioners then it will likely be harder for her to relate. I hope you're having great sex naked together, as it's the foundation of any healthy relationship at your age. But if she associates your nudity with only sex, her bridge from private to public nudity is steep and long. I try to decouple and normalize nudity by cooking and cleaning naked and blame it on less laundry. It puts my nudity in a mundane and sexually neutral (or yes likely unappealing) light. If you could find a nudist couple you have things in common with and include nudity to the degree that everyone is comfortable. you're on a good path (assuming you're not swingers anyway). Rather than saying, sorry, not easy, I will conclude by saying you're a lucky man to have a gf who even allows you to ask these questions to others as well as to yourself. Good luck!

My wife's first experience was at the nude beach as well...and it didn't go well. She indeed felt that she was "surrounded by freaks and voyeurs." The nude beach was not the right venue for her; and I might even say that would be the case for a lot of newbies.

She agreed nonetheless to a "reboot" a couple of years later; this time at a family-oriented clothing-optional resort. After checking in, her impressions were positive right away. The vetting process gave her some assurance that not anyone "could walk off the street into the resort"; and the friendliness of the people she interacted with - even though she was covered up - impressed her. Whereas at the nude beach she was completely turned off from being seen naked; at the resort it seemed to her to be a much safer proposition. An hour later she was nude in the pool area, enjoying herself and embracing social nudity.

I'm not going to say that the C/O resort is 100% guarantee; just something to think about.

Yeah, I agree. The nudist resort is a great way to start. Usually very positive responses from my everybody.

Yeah, the Nudist beach has a lot of I call them toads. Guys that like to sit in front of the women and touch themselves. But if you go back again to the beach, remember to take a small compact mirror. You can use that to shine and those guys eyes, or even signal for help from somebody else

Personally, I find just the opposite. Nudist resorts with their stifling rules and oversight are extremely uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Nude beaches are free and open and accepting.

We are a married couple where I am the only nudist in the family. My wife prefers to be covered even when we are home. She has come with me to clothing optional locations and beaches with me. She does stay clothed but is very comfortable with nude people around her.

My partner has no interest at all in social nudity but is happy to come to a c/o beach with me from time to time.
I feel very fortunate to have such an understanding lady in my life and will never do anything to try to pressure her to strip off. If she chooses to, in the future, great - if not, t's not an issue. We're both secure enough to live and let live.

I'm in the same boat. My wife refuses to join me but fortunately has no problem with me going swimming at the local nude beach or being nude at home. We were in Spain last year, and went to a rural beach (which by default are clothing optional). I got nude as soon as we were out of the car and she remained clothed. She enjoyed herself walking on the beach and picking up sea glass and shells and mentioned how nice it was. As we were walking, the only people we crossed path with were two other couples, also walking (one naked, one clothed), and one man suntanning naked. So a few days later, I suggested we go back to that beach. She refused because there were too many naked people around!!! To her credit though, she said I should go on my own, which I didn't do. It was more important to me to spend the afternoon together enjoying our vacation and doing something we could both enjoy.

I am currently divorced now but when I was married, my wife did join me once and only once. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience for her. While we were sunbathing at the beach, she caught a guy staring at her from the dunes and he was masturbating. She got so upset. The guy took off immediately when he saw me get up. From that point on, she refused to go to any nude beaches with me. She did let me go alone. She even had no problem when I would sunbathe nude in my own yard. No matter how much I tried to convince her to join me again, she refused.

[/quote] That's unfortunate and I'm sorry to hear that. It is not an uncommon occurrence. Our first time at a nude beach (the first time for my wife), she decided to go topless at first and acclimate. A drunk guy sitting next to us started trying to coax my wife into removing her bottoms. Thankfully his wife intervened; but the damage was done. My wife swore off the nude beach - and nudism - "forever." It took me two years to undo the damage and convince her to give nudism another chance; this time at a clothing-optional resort. Lucky for me she liked it, felt safe; and was able to acclimate on her own terms without some idiot making her uncomfortable. That's why I'm so adamant about introducing a spouse to nudism in a controlled environment like a nudist resort or non-landed club.

It may be that you need to accept a compromise of having her accompany you to the naturist beach/area without the need for her to strip, if she doesn't feel comfortable. Let's be honest, there are almost always people at most naturist places that will have more than a quick glance, indeed there will often be some that are unsubtle voyeurs. That is fine if you are genuinely comfortable being naked and being seen naked, but very uncomfortable if you are self-conscious about being naked in public.

Had a housemate (who is straight) at one point who was afraid of being seen without clothing. The only time he would be nude was when he wanted to be shaved clean, Anytime I was (am) home I'm nude. He would drop the long gym shorts and remove the shirt and ask me to shave him from neck to his feet, he would be embarrassed for asking me to do this, but his budget didn't allow for professional services. I said well pay me, by shaving me. I shaved him and when I got to the area below the waist and had to manipulate his equipment he got rock hard and very red in the face and started tearing up, I finished shaving his body and said my turn for you to shave me. He was reluctant at first, but he did it. While he was shaving me I gave him instructions on how to shave a man's equipment, since he was being rough with it. After finishing I too was hard, I said you don't have to worry - it's not a gay thing - it's a stimulation thing. We continued the shaving ritual, and he would comment when he thought I needed a shave. He did start to relax on the clothing as time progressed, but never totally nude with me until his girlfriend started spending the weekend and she didn't wear much clothing. I did resign to shorts in the beginning when she stayed at the house, since I didn't want to cause issues. In the morning I would slip on a pair of shorts to have coffee since they were still in bed and I did not want to shock her. She surprised me, coming to the kitchen completely nude and getting a cup of coffee. He came out later in his shorts and shirt. This continued every time she was staying. She and I tried to convince him it is OK to be nude in front of each other. Never did get him comfortable with it while living with me,

I'm a gay nudist, married to a non-nudist. He does enjoy swimming nude but he's definitely not a nudist. I'm always naked at home and he doesn't mind. He also supports me in my nudist activities. I started the oldest gay nudist club here in Louisville (we have 2). I also started a men's nude yoga class 4 years ago and he's good with that, too. He doesn't mind me going to nude camps, parties, clubs, etc. I'm very lucky because I've seen too many guys have to stop any nudist activity because their new partner didn't like them being naked with other men.
