Beach Clean-up! — Things to do nude on True Nudists

14th ANNUAL CAPE COD BEACH CLEAN-UP at Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown, MA 9:00 am, Saturday, June 12, 2010VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDThe Cape Cod Beach Volunteers of Nudist and Naturist are holding its 14th annual Beach Clean-up. The event is open to all volunteer Nudists, Naturists, their friends and any one that would like to help. THANKS to the many past volunteers, the time and effort has gained positive understandings with CCNS officials and the local community. Traditional clothing optional areas have been relatively hassle free. Based on previous successes, these beach clean-ups are scheduled to reaffirm that clothing optional sunbathers drawn to Cape Cod are environmentally aware and responsible partners in managing this fragile environment and good for local business. The opportunity to insure credibility with CCNS officials and the community cannot be ignored. Ultimately we envision that traditional clothing optional areas will be restored on Cape Cod.A pre-clean-up count is importantto schedule the services provided by CCNS and the Cape Cod Beach Volunteers. A THANK YOU barbecue will be held in the Herring Cove Beach parking lot, followed by a chance to relax on a traditional Truro Beach. The response has been terrific here. Really looking forward to meeting many of you next month at the clean-up. Just a reminder, the event itself is a textiled event. For those of you with reluctant spouses, this is a great venue to meet other nudists in a textiled environemnt. There will be plenty of time after the clean-up to visit the town owned local sanctioned nude beach.

This will be our fourth clean-up. we are so looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. George any chance you'll make it up here this year for old times sake? We'd love to meet you and I know Bill would be thrilled to see you again.

It is definitely a great way to let the Park Service and other entities know that Nudists are good for the beach. The Maryland beach cleanup as well as the Cape Cod cleanups do wonders as do taking out more than you bring in at a c/o beach you frequent

Just a reminder to every one interested, the Clean-up is this weekend. We're sitting here with Catbird and JustinChristina enjoying an evening before heading up to the Cape tomorrow morning. Always wonderful to meet fellow TN'ers in person! Looking forward to meeting other's. Just a reminder - the clean up it's self is a clothed event. I'll be the one in turquoise blue shorts. Be sure to say hi if you see me!

What a wonderful weekend, seeing old friends, meeting new friends, actively working to promote nudism.
There were roughly 50 or so volunteers this year. A smaller crowd than some years/a larger crowd than others. And lots of "good faith" work done. Steve had an excellent conversation with one of the park rangers, who told him that this group is the ONLY effective clean-up group they see year in and year out. The ranger said that many groups representing varied interests attempt to organize a clean-up, but that the "nudists" were the only group to actually show up in number, actually effectively do any of the clean-up work and continue to do so year in and year out. Sure wish they'd make that particular ranger the Superintendent.
The early morning was chilly, but we still managed to get some great pictures before the clean up, in the morning light on the deserted beach. And then the wind died down a little bit, and it warmed up enough for perfect "clean-up" temperatures. After lunch it started to drizzle and the rain didn't stop until the next day.
In spite of the rain we had a wonderful time (as always) at Sandy Terraces. So great to see fellow TNer's Nudetrucker and JustinChristine again. Always enjoy spending time with them. And it was really fun to finally meet Catbird! That was truly a pleasure and we're so glad he was able to make the long trip. (So sorry you weren't able to make it Rockofbury - hope everything is okay)
