  I completely agree with Skip81.
  The best way to sail is to sail nude - at least if you go sailing in warm weather conditions.
  I usually go sailing for 1-2 weeks a year and aa soon I leave the marina, the clothes are off.
  If you sail, you expose yourself to nature and it's a great feeling not only to see your boat reacting to nature, but also feel the wind that you are sailing with.

Have you ever left the marina in just shorts and no shirt?

  My wife & I have on several occasions when we are fishing on Lake Michigan or Saginaw Bay. It is normally later in the morning after alot of the other boats have left. Nuthin' better than watching my naked wife bring in a nice fish. Can't wait for next summer.

If we go sailing, usually we are enroute for a couple of days and you never know, how the weather is changing. Yes, on some very hot days, I left - and entered - the marina with just a pair of shorts.

Have you ever left the marina in just shorts and no shirt?[/quote] My sailing has been flotilla sailing holidays so I always have my clothes for evening restaurants on board but I enter and leave harbours in shirt and shorts (and no underwear) unless either the weather is inclement or we are overnighting in an abandoned and uninhabited harbour, in which case I will enter and leave the harbour naked.

When we get too warm it is time for a nude swim. My friend and his wife come along quite often to enjoy the sun and water.

  We live in coastal British Columbia. Once out in the gulf or up in desolation sound the clothes come off. We've met other nude boaters a few times. I think boating is a popular past time amongst nudists.

  Anyone ever had the opportunity to launch a boat naked and have no clothing with you while on board? If so, where did you do this and how long was the trip?
  If you have not been able to go boating with no clothing in you possesion, what is the least amount you have taken for: a day outing? an overnight trip?

  And the Bare Necessities website is also cruisebare.com. Their next cruise is next week. We have over 200 TN accounts in a group for this cruise. Doubtful all are actually going, but there are a bunch that we know from previous cruises who we know are really going.

Love to be out on the water nude but unfortunately yes, we need to be ever vigilant not to offend anyone or be obeserved by any law enforcement. The law is very vague in Maryland but have had a discussion with State Water police and they said that yes, it was not permitted. So the issue is very subjective and the hassle of getting a summons make it necessary to be very careful which of course reduces the sense of freedom.

  Boating nude is the best way to go boating. Suit comes off as soon as I'm outside of the marina goes back on just before I get in.

Were the shorts the only clothes you had with you in the canoe? I have never canoed, nude and rarely canoe at all. I do remember one time when I started canoeing with a shirt on and took it off and laid it in the bottom of the canoe. It got so wet that I couldn't put it back on at the end of the trip.

Once when on a one night winter cabin trip with the scouts, I didn't bring a second pair of pants, and fell through the ice. I had to spend the rest of the day in the cabin wrapped in a blanket while my pants dried by the fire! Later, as a scout leader for my sons, I learned a lot from the more experienced leaders.

  I have spent many an hour naked on my pontoon on the Missouri river. Once I was floating along and soaping up for a bath on the front deck when a passenger train went by. All I had time to do was wave.

  It is the only way to cruise. Once out of the marina, shorts come off and don't go on until back a the marina. It is nice to go to the clothing optional beach and drop anchor. Even on busy weekend days, having the boat allows for space.

  Nude kayaking can be quite pleasant. I have a plastic sit-on-top type with a padded seat. Since I leave my glasses behind when visiting the beach, I have no idea how obvious it is to other watercraft.
