I have heard that boating is a good activity to do nude, once you are away from the marina.
Haven't done it myself because I don't have access to a boat.
Who here has tried it?

Tobbi72Dec 2, 2019I completely agree with Skip81.
The best way to sail is to sail nude - at least if you go sailing in warm weather conditions.
I usually go sailing for 1-2 weeks a year and aa soon I leave the marina, the clothes are off.
If you sail, you expose yourself to nature and it's a great feeling not only to see your boat reacting to nature, but also feel the wind that you are sailing with.ReactReply - TD

Have you ever left the marina in just shorts and no shirt?ReactReply - DADaveandPennyCDec 4, 2019
My wife & I have on several occasions when we are fishing on Lake Michigan or Saginaw Bay. It is normally later in the morning after alot of the other boats have left. Nuthin' better than watching my naked wife bring in a nice fish. Can't wait for next summer.

If we go sailing, usually we are enroute for a couple of days and you never know, how the weather is changing. Yes, on some very hot days, I left - and entered - the marina with just a pair of shorts.ReactReply - JO

My friend and his wife come along quite often to enjoy the sun and water.ReactReply

We live in coastal British Columbia. Once out in the gulf or up in desolation sound the clothes come off. We've met other nude boaters a few times. I think boating is a popular past time amongst nudists.

Tom DOriginal PosterFeb 12, 2020Anyone ever had the opportunity to launch a boat naked and have no clothing with you while on board? If so, where did you do this and how long was the trip?
If you have not been able to go boating with no clothing in you possesion, what is the least amount you have taken for: a day outing? an overnight trip?ReactReply - FL
flyhigh2609Feb 15, 2020there are more and more offerings to go on a nude boat trip or even on a cruise ship: check out

J.Feb 15, 2020And the Bare Necessities website is also cruisebare.com. Their next cruise is next week. We have over 200 TN accounts in a group for this cruise. Doubtful all are actually going, but there are a bunch that we know from previous cruises who we know are really going.

JohnFeb 15, 2020
I'm very surprised that one would still have to be cautious while being nude on a boat. I thought that being nude away from the shore would be OK
I have my boat on the Chesapeake Bay. Love to be out on the water nude but unfortunately yes, we need to be ever vigilant not to offend anyone or be obeserved by any law enforcement. The law is very vague in Maryland but have had a discussion with State Water police and they said that yes, it was not permitted. So the issue is very subjective and the hassle of getting a summons make it necessary to be very careful which of course reduces the sense of freedom.ReactReply - TO
TomFeb 16, 2020Boating nude is the best way to go boating. Suit comes off as soon as I'm outside of the marina goes back on just before I get in.

Tom DOriginal PosterFeb 16, 2020
We love being nude out on the water but haven't had the opportunity for a few summers. We did however do some canoeing last year through our county, Athens Clarke, On the Oconee. We put in up river and spotted my Jeep at our take out point. It was a nice leisure float down stream and started to get quite warm. There were no houses to be seen nor any people. Its a narrow river averaging 10 to 30 yards wide mostly and no other canoes, rafts or kayaks. Both sides are mostly owned by the power company so there were no private residences. It was getting hot with no breeze so I told Annie my shorts had to go (I was all I had on) and I pealed them off and just kept a cover handy, not knowing what could be around the next bend. Not long after her bikini top was off. She was obviously more visible that I was but who's going to report a topless woman canoeing to the police anyway. There wouldn't be another road access for hours. We enjoyed the whole ride that way and never saw another sole the whole way. It was a wonderful way to experience nature, so silent and tranquil, the way Native Americans did! Except they didn't bring along a 12 pack! :-)
Sound great. Were the shorts the only clothes you had with you in the canoe? I have never canoed, nude and rarely canoe at all. I do remember one time when I started canoeing with a shirt on and took it off and laid it in the bottom of the canoe. It got so wet that I couldn't put it back on at the end of the trip.ReactReply - TD
Tom DOriginal PosterFeb 16, 2020
I also had a t-shirt, In case it got cool or too many bugs. Keep it in plastic bags! I always have zip locks of all sizes for my stuff, nothing seems to stay dry in a canoe if you don't! Nothing worse than being cold and wet out in the water. I used to be a boy scout! :-)
I was only a boy scout briefly, so I guess I didn't learn to be prepared. Once when on a one night winter cabin trip with the scouts, I didn't bring a second pair of pants, and fell through the ice. I had to spend the rest of the day in the cabin wrapped in a blanket while my pants dried by the fire! Later, as a scout leader for my sons, I learned a lot from the more experienced leaders.ReactReply - TO

PaulFeb 20, 2020I have spent many an hour naked on my pontoon on the Missouri river. Once I was floating along and soaping up for a bath on the front deck when a passenger train went by. All I had time to do was wave.

JohnApr 25, 2020It is the only way to cruise. Once out of the marina, shorts come off and don't go on until back a the marina. It is nice to go to the clothing optional beach and drop anchor. Even on busy weekend days, having the boat allows for space.

SteveNov 11, 2020Nude kayaking can be quite pleasant. I have a plastic sit-on-top type with a padded seat. Since I leave my glasses behind when visiting the beach, I have no idea how obvious it is to other watercraft.
