  I am not brave enough to leave the house nude,with nothing to cover up with.I have thought about stashing some shorts in the car,for those evenings when I can leave the house nude.I would not feel at ease not having something to cover up with.I was out for one of my nude rides one night,when I went thru a check point,where the police were checking license and insurance.I did not have a shirt on,but I had shorts on.I got thru the check point all right.But that is the reason I always have a cover up with me.Have fun and enjoy your nude time,but be smart and be careful.

  I had to go shopping in my local town , so I donned the usual clobber (clothes) but on the way home stopped just outside the town boundary and stripped off got back in the car and drove home (10km) nude.was a great feeling with the sun streaming thru the windscreen

  I just completed a 300km trip back to Melbourne from NSW. Totally nude in broad daylight, 12noon till around 4pm.
  Unfortunately my wife decided to remain dressed for the trip, and I only dressed when we stopped to visit a friend about 1 hours drive from Melbourne. I also covered once when we passed a bus just to be on the safe side.
  The nude drive was on a major highway and freeway and was started after a having a nude picnic lunch on the Victorian side of the Murray river.
  (For those who don't know the Murray River is a considerable portion lengthwise of the New South Wales / Victorian border in Australia).
  The drive was fantastic, being a warm sunny day so the trip was done with the car windows fully open.

  I have only driven naked when staying at a nudist resort.On the first occasion I drove naked to the bank on Sunday morning and as everything seemed very quiet I was able to cross the road and use the cash machine without dressing.There is a short video of some of it athttps://vimeo.com/13215134

  I have been driving nude for more years than I care to admit.
  In that time I have been involved in an accident that totaled my car (thankfully no one was hurt), stopped for expired tags, and twice had the car suddenly quit while I was driving on the freeway. In every case I was nude at the time but since I keep a pair of shorts next to me while driving it was easy enough to pull them on before anyone was aware of my lack of clothing.
  
  I understand why someone could feel nervous driving nude, since many nudist still feel uncomfortable being seen nude outside of there home or other recognized clothing optional area. I used to feel the same way. But after being nude in the general public while participating the the World Naked Bike Ride and hiking nude in non clothing optional areas where I have been seen many times I no longer worry about the possibility that someone may see me nude.

  I have driven nude many times in the night and in day light ,, I also drive nude in town as often as I can ....I just have a pair of shorts by my side just incase I am pooled over by police , it is a great feeling.

  Were you on a bike, motorcycle?  It would be great to drive to Arizona from Los Angeles  nude on as motorcycle.  except for the bugs.

  It's only 4 miles from the nude beach I visit to the clothing optional campground I stay at so I never dress for the short trip. The camp host always mentions that I must have come from the beach.

  Nattie[/quote]It's not a bad idea at all.  Weather permitting (above 60F), I leave my house naked just at dawn and dress at the end of the office parking lot at the office before driving to a closer parking space.  I reverse the process for the drive home, only dressing partially before exiting the car since there are kids in the neighborhood.  I have a 30 minute daylight commute through moderate city traffic each way.  I've had a couple of strange looks and have only been caught (so to speak) once.  Some bright school students ran across the highway after exiting a bus and passed directly along my car while stopped at a traffic light.  Most giggled and pointed, one smiled and waved.  She was the nudist in that group.

  I have done this several times from my home to Blacks Beach, about an hour and a half drive on the freeway. Great feeling on a warm summer day. Got a honk from a trucker once, but other than that i don't think anyone noticed. This was in a small Nissan Pulsar T top, with the tops off, of course! I have towel nearby in case I get stuck in "tall" traffic, but only use it on the way back home through the Immigration checkpoint.

  I really enjoy driving nude, but mostly in spring through fall months, the heated leather seats don't warm up quick enough..  I've drove naked both day and night, for a little as a few miles, and as many as 230 miles.  I've drove nude on back roads, and freeways as well.

  Yesterday, home from work, about 35 miles.  Too many more times to recall.  Longest was probably fromSF Bay Area to Beaty NV, dressing  a couple of times to fill the gas tank and get food.

  Thomas doesn't like others enjoying themselves naked or nude. If he thought about it, you don't see much driving past other vehicles, trucks maybe see a little bit more. But I cover up if passing a bus or truck.
  I don't class my self as an exhibitionist, I drive nude to enjoy myself, not to exhibit myself to others. My guess others who drive nude probably feel the same as me.
  I was going to make further comments re Thomas's post but I won't lower myself to his level.

  You just get it Thomas, most of us on this site joined to discuss our nudist activities, not play mind games at the expense of others.
  I for one am sick of your negativity re others posts. Maybe you need to move out of your nudist resort and get a life.
