  I've done it a couple of times.  Once when I was out of town, I was in a hotel swimming pool.  Igot into my car with the swimsuit on and took it off and drove home.  It was early evening in the Summer so still daylight.

  The other time was when we were coming back from a nudist party.  I really shouldn't have been driving, but my wife didn't know the way back to the interstate.  So, I drove nude to the interstate.  At the entrance ramp I hopped out and we switched places.  So I was nude on the entrance ramp to an interstate.

  I drove a U haul truck from Sacramento to LA with only my shoes on.  I heard ( unverified) that having shoes to safely operate the peddles is more of an issue than clothing. Great fun. Discretion won out at gas and snack stops. I was going to pump gas nude when it occurred to me that many gas stations have cameras and patrons have cell fones. Gym shorts are handy. I was able to have a soda at a rest stop overlooking Pyramid lake. I parked away from others and sat on the wall watching the moon over the lake & canyon. Beartiful sight and feeling.  Had to take a leak in Saugus & pulled behind a shopping center ( after dark) & went behind a dumpster with the truck shielding me from the parking lot. My wife & I have driven 60 miles from a nude resort to home in the nude. Great fun.

  Well this made day 2 of driving nude, yesterday and today.  Yesterday was great and had no issues but today, as I was leaving Ikea, stripped in the parking lot and as I got closer to Chicago the rain started and it was a horrible down pour, driving slowed to about 25mph, and I was aware of everything around me and kept thinking, I should really try to get dressed, but was also to afraid to pull over on the side of the road....oh well made it fine and nothing happen....  ;-)

  I having been driving nude in public since i was 16 and still continue today. I like driving insterstate country roads and intown nude during the day or night doesnt really matter to me. I do keep a pair of shorts for stops but after thats done shorts are gone on rest areas i try to remain nude as well anyone else want to me my freind or share chatting add me on yahoo under buckeyefannudist hope to hear from you all take care todd

  I once drove several hundred miles in the nude out in west Texas where it was pretty much just me and the mesquite.

  I everyone. during the summer I go waterskiing with a local club (non nudist) around the twin cities her in MN. Being disabled I need to scoot myself thru the sandy beach up to mu wheelchair. in the process of doing that.... I get sand packed into places that I and most people don't like have sand in. I end up taking off my swim shorts off before I get into my truck for the drive home. their have been many time I have driven home only warped in a towel when traveling thru the city but when their isn't any cars around me I take off my towel to at least dry off a little more before getting home.
  My wife has driven home a couple of time naked. But she mostly takes off her pants or skirt and if she has on panties, they will often come off as she drives home from work. This is only at night that she has don this.

  Wow!  I'm really impressed with the distances that some have driven nude!  This is something I have always been curious about but had never tried.  Certainly my recent experience doesn't compare with what many have shared here but during my recent visit to a resort, I did finally get the chance to drive nude on the resort roads.  The distance wasn't great but it felt wonderful being able to drive while completely nude, in broad daylight.

  I used to do this alot when I was driving truck..I would leave the warehouse around 2 am and it was 3 hours until my first stop. To say the least I was always very scared in doing this

  hmmm... nice  to remember..

  i drieve in nude only in the middle of the night, from my campus to my home.. but, its hard to do now after i work at Jakarta, bcoz the traffic always busy and lots of Police there... i'm afraid of jail...LOL

  I've done it many times, not too worried either. Not like you're showing off from in your car, cops would be daft to ticket you because there's almost no way to ding you for anything. Mind you, I keep shorts nearby. But one time in the winter, my ex and I were driving back from the ski resort and it had been pouring rain and we were soaked! We started taking off our clothes as the car warmed up and before we knew it, we were both naked and laughing. Don't recommend going through customs that way tho. those guys (and gals) have no sense of humour! I drive in day or night, but it is a bit more relaxing if you stay out of downtown!

  As my sweet wife were dressing to head home from Lone Star Resort today, I commented that the clothes sure felt restrictive...like I was putting on a straight-jacket.  I was so tempted to drive home nude, but totally chickened out.  The clothes came off as soon as I got everything out of the truck!

  Have been driving nude on several occasions over the years in different countries and even across national boundaries. All in Europe. Distances varied from few km to few 100 km. Nothing worthwhile to mention, no incidences except some astonished glances from trucks or buses/coaches on me and/or co-travellers occasionally.

  i have done it a few times. always after 11 pm. i usually have one of those terrycloth velcro wraps to sit on in case i need to cover up for a reason. i usually drive some roads near me that are practically deserted late at night, just need to keep an eye out for the deer.

  We had a trailer at a local nudist resort and I had stayed  for a couple weeks. When it was time to come home, I loaded the car and drove off--forgetting to get dressed. I was nearly halfway home (about a 60 mile drive) and realized I had no clothes. Just a towel. I obviously just drove home. Afterward, I drove nude whenever I chanced it. At the time, I did a lot of nudist public relations, so with my openness with the media, I was a bit bold. Now 15 years later, with the attitude of the nation taking a different perspective, I am more reluctant to drive naked.

  Whenever I have the chance to drive late at night, I atleast make a small attempt to drive naked. The best I can usually do is just drive pantless, getting to the feel the night, cool air, really makes it nice on those spots of skin that never get to feel the breeze.

  Yes, I have driven nude many times. The longest was about 10 years ago when the wife and I took our son to a college in Minnesota. On the way back home, I drove nude all the way from Des Moines, Iowa, to Oklahoma City. And yes, it was during the daytime. The only time I dressed was to stop for gas or something to eat. When we needed to switch drivers, we would pull into a roadside rest stop and I would get out completly nude. Either nobody noticed or didn't care.

  I just tried it for the first time last night. After reading all these posts I wanted to try. I rode home from the super market without my shorts on. It was just a few miles. I didn't put them back on to walk from the driveway to my front door. Felt great.

  Hi everyone as you noticed my username is the nude traveller and I am running naturist safaris and my favourite destination is to the West of Cape Town all the way up to the Richtersveld National Park, which is 1134 kilometres  from our departure point. Converted to miles it is 704.6 miles to the park and the same distance back.  Myself as driver of the bus and our guests is naked as soon as we are out of the city on the open road.  We keep our clothes on hand in case we are stopped by traffic officers and for refreshment  stops along the road but up to date we are not once been pulled off mainly of the remote area we driving. This is day time driving and if you might have a SA Map on hand you will notice it is the main road to the West Coast but not to busy like the National roads between Cape Town and Johannesburg or Durban.
  The beauty of this safari is when we reach our camp site in the park, nobody worries about clothes for 9 to 10 days. being away from the passing dirt road and with the wonderful “silence” of nature around us we hear a motor vehicle as far as 4 to 5 miles away.
  Only once a hiking couple surprise us all naked but they were so sweet they stripped off and spent the day and night with us till the next morning when they left. Nudity in this country are accepted anywhere by anyone and if it happens that hikers coming down upon us or noticed a bus with naked passengers, it is accepted as a lifestyle by all.

  It's been a while but I used to get off pretty late from work around 10pm and there were a couple nights when I got on the freeway (there was very little traffic)  I decided to go nude.  Drove from downtown Seattle to Tacoma nude.  I only did it twice due to nerves but I have to admit I really did enjoy it.  Wish I could do it more.

  I love to drive nude, especially down the highway with all the windows down. One time i rode nude in the back of a pick-up down a busy freeway. That tingles all over like you won't know unless you try it!!! I used to drive naked all over town in the summer but I forgot and walked into a grocery store naked one day. I got all the way thru check out with out any trouble. I go to tan nude outside and I'll drive all the way there nude and back home. Every one should do this!!!

  In Vegas it used to be ignored if someone was naked in public. I was ignored every time and I walked like 4 blocks down a busy street every day, totally nude ! I went to the grocery store naked and got soda or something and walked back home all the time. The only cop that ever saw me just flashed his lights as he went by. After that I went nude every where day or night. I think Vegas would be a place where public nudity on the streets would be easily legalized, if its not already. I never got in trouble for it.

  Just finished a trip of 350 miles each way in the nude, on the way out it was night comeing back it was day. Drove all of both ways. At night even stopped at two rest areas and went in nude. The second, as I was comeing out, I met a woman, she got big eyed, I simply said good evening and continued on. The guy that was with her was walking a dog, and didn't see me. That was sure different.

  We drove nude for the first time at Serendipity Nudist Resort both around the resort and from cabin to the pool. Makes me wonder what it would be like to have an entire self sufficient nudist colony/town/city.
