your at a crowded textile beach where you live when suddenly a city work truck stops at the entrance to the beach and post a sign announcing that the beach is now clothing optional after a few minutes everyone returns to what they were doing but not getting nude, SO are you the first to be brave enough to get nude first and do you have concerns of being seen by a friend, co-worker or neighbor ?

Certainly, the moment that sign went up it would be legal to do so and oh so much more comfortable.
Out of respect for those that may not fully understand at first I would possibly/probably not walk around at first to give those that prefer textiles to accept/ understand the change but would certainly lay back naked (on front or back) and relax as I enjoy the sunshine.

If it's allowed then do it, I've been to several clothing optional spas in Germany and I'm always naked - don't mind being the first one, as the saying goes 'great oaks from little acorn grow'

For me, I'd wait 'till the following day, and be the first one at the beach.
That way, there's no chance of offending anyone who was already there when the sign wen't up, and no chance that anyone who chooses to be there after the sign goes up doesn't know what they are walking into.
Basically, give 'em a chance to be warned. ( even if they didn't read the new sign the next day )

I would probably wait awhile to give those that might be offended a chance to leave, and then my clothes would come off.  As a nudist, who doesn't hide that fact, I would not be concerned about being seen by anyone I knew.

Too many variables, the most important, how many people are on the beach?  If I could be secluded, like at all, then yes, i would lose the clothing.  If crowded, then no, I would wait.  Either way, though, wouldn't be up walking around au natural til others were joining in.  Oh if only all beaches were like Orient Beach.

If i was on a crowed beach and a truck stopped at the entrance to put a sign up, i wouldnt see it till i was leaving, so it would be my next visit, ( next day the Sun is out ) and i would be the first.

They wouldn't even be finished putting the sign up, and I'd be naked! Even if I was the only one!

Is this a question or a fantasy?? Depends on who I'm with. My kids would be horrified, my girlfriend would be mortified and my friends would be confounded as to where they could lay their eyes. My parents would be cool with it. I might doff it if I could just lie on my stomach and tan my buns but I'd probably look for some like minded friends to accompany me before I went all out. Good fantasy tho! Here's hoping!

well i guess there was no right or wrong answer about 60 % would be nude right then and a few would even help put the sign in lol, about 40 % would wait but those who would wait would if the next day arrived and there was a bunch of textiles with protest signs ? i think i would give it about a half hour to let the word spread and for those to read the sign and you know everyone is going to be nosy and read the sign. yes it would be time to do some nude sunbathing and swimming.

naturally 11 remember the city truck and work crew were putting up the sign, well along with tezza help how would you wonder if it was illegal or not. i think my main thought to this is how many on here are really nudist and would actully get nude if the opportunity came, the sign went up making the beach clothing optional AKA: nude beach so why wait , nudism isn't suppose to be sexual so removing your bathing suit in front of textiles should be no problem i have been to a nude beaches many times where textiles men,  women and children walk up and down the beach in their bathing suits and nudity doesn't seem to faze them or they wouldn't be there walking back and forth. poll of people in the usa show a support for more nude beaches it's the politicians that seem to listen to a few but not the majority of americans with this issue. so again why are you going to wait till the next day, if they were offering free ice cream would you wait.

In the real world, the crew on the truck needed orders to put up the sign. They could not have done this had the sign shop not first made the sign. The sign shop would have to have an order to make the sign. The supervisor of the sign shop would have to have an order from administration. Administration would have needed to have authorization from the governing body. The governing body would have had to have held public meeting on the proposed ordinance, given legal notice and then voted on the ordinance. By the time the truck shows up to erect the sign, half of the beach goers would have been naked in anticipation of the change of status because everyone knew it was coming.
