I love most naturist activities, but I think I enjoy freehiking most of all. I've freehiked for years; freehiking was my first naturist experience; I've written many freehiking reports. The healthy exercise, the feel of the sun and breeze on my bare skin, the beauty of nature all around. Feeling at one with the earth. Freehiking can be a profound spiritual experience. And freehiking with a group is a wonderfully close social experience.
PJ and I often freehike together, and with our friends. We moderate an egroup called Skinny Trippers where members report on freehiking and other naturist activities. We help run the Freehiking Utah Group, and are thinking of starting a free hiking group in California where we will soon be living if we can't find a group that already freehikes.
How many others love freehiking? Is anyone else interested in getting together with PJ and I for a freehike?

flbeachmanJan 27, 2010Greatest way to enjoy the outdoors is to be nude and hiking / camping is no different. Problem always is finding a location where you don't run the risk of offending others and find an LEO waiting for you when you return to the car. Over the years I have found that the western part of the U.S. is much more amenable to freehiking, both in terms of opportunity as well as the attitudes of people. Of course, with so much open area, the possibility of meeting others in these isolated areas is not that high.
Enjoyed a 5 day nude backpacking/camping trip in the Ocala National Forest last summer. Bugs and heat weren't too bad in the forest and there was a spring feed pond that served as a great place to cool off and relax after a day's hike. Only passed one other hiker and he was down to his backpack and a pair of brief running shorts, but it was during a downpour so our encounter was very brief as we were each headed back to our shelter.ReactReply - JO

unfortunately.But the way I understand it, State laws don't have sway in National parks, forests, monuments, etc. because there are no National laws against nudism.Most judges throw such suits out without trial.

barewabbitMay 24, 2010I have gone Free Hiking many times on my friends farm in upstate NY. I have also gone nude trail riding. Thats the only way to hike or go horse back riding.
ReactReply - MEMemberJun 28, 2010Got out for a Sunday afternoon hike. Montana is having one of the greenest years in a long time almost July and it is still beautiful. Photo is of a spring that feeds a watering hole for cattle that graze on National Forest if any one is interested and use Google earth punch in the GPS readings.
